Always the most amazing food, service and atmosphere. I love that I can enjoy myself and eat safely as a coeliac.

The food in this establishment is wonderful, but when my first experience on a warm Sunday afternoon about a month ago contained some very... Unsatisfactory elements in the personal service. When I asked the young lady serving me in the rear garden area to put a note saying 'coeliac' on my partner's ticket, she replied, 'It's gluten free'. To which I responded.. 'Yes, but she's very allergic' The girl did not note it down and instead lied, telling me she had despite the fact she didn't touch the till buttons after I'd asked. When I asked her if she could please clean our table which was sticky, she did so, poorly, and then my partner caught her glaring at us in a quite unfriendly manner at three different points during the rest of our visit. Now, I know you have a Gluten Free menu, but having an allergy noted on the docket, could be the difference between kitchen staff washing their hands before handling her food after touching something with gluten in or on it, or not doing so, thus causing an allergic reaction. The rest of the concern is simply bad customer service. When the food came out, the server had both our plates touching, and mine had gluten items on it, further evidence that there was no note on the order, as I sure your kitchen and serving staff would have a good knowledge of the risks of cross contamination. I hope that these issues don't occur in future.
