Texas Roadhouse

The greeter refused to hold the door for me and proceeded to give me dirty looks because of my red hat with a "conservative logo" on it, which was disappointing. I was literally four feet away from and walking towards the door that he was holding open, when his eyes reached my hat, and he said "nope!", out loud, let go of the door, pivoted, and walked a few feet away. He went right back to holding the door after I had gone inside, and let the door go again as I was walking back outside after putting my name on the wait list. He really is a wonderful greeter, usually. Always smiling, and making conversation with patrons. He's been super nice and chatty with me when I've been to this location in the past (without the hat on). I wondered if it was the hat that bothered him, or if I was just making assumptions, so I gave it to my mother to wear as she ran out to her car to pick up a sweater, and apparently he wouldn't hold the door for her either, and he gave her dirty looks as well. How can you seriously work at a steakhouse, in Utah, if you can't tolerate open conservatives?? It was just weird and it hurt my feelings. The service was great, otherwise. I actually had a different employee, and a couple of patrons compliment my hat, which was really sweet of them. Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating to everyone, but especially to my sister-in-law who has celiac disease and requested gluten-free steak sauce. :) The food was also great, as usual.

Always friendly, always good food, and they are very generous when it came to my gluten allergy.. do call ahead seating to get in right away

The manager Kenzie on Sunday night was beyond helpful and so kind helping me figure out my gluten free/oil free order. She was great
