One of our favourite places to eat in NYC (and we live here!) really creative, delicious and nutritious food, awesome service, lots of deals and a really light and fun vibe. Great cocktails, a good choice of wine and lots of gluten-free options too. Shout out to Ben H for making this particular visit so lovely - wonderful human!

The Butcher’s Daughter: A Vegetarian Gem in Williamsburg Despite its name, The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based paradise catering to vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners. Nestled in Williamsburg, it offers a perfect mix of rustic charm, hipster vibes, and fresh, inventive flavors. Ambiance & Service With industrial accents, wooden decor, exposed brick, and lush greenery, the space is effortlessly stylish yet welcoming. Whether you grab a spot at the communal tables, cozy bar, or outdoor patio, the atmosphere is perfect for brunch or a casual night out. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring a smooth dining experience even during busy hours. The Menu: Plant-Based Perfection The menu is packed with creative, fresh, and flavorful dishes. Avocado Toast – Thick sourdough or gluten-free bread topped with smashed avocado, heirloom tomatoes, pickled onions, and chili flakes. Dragon Fruit Bowl – A colorful mix of pitaya, coconut, granola, and fresh fruit. Butcher’s Pancakes – Gluten-free, fluffy, and topped with maple syrup and coconut whipped cream. Spicy Kale Caesar – Massaged kale, toasted chickpeas, cashew Parmesan, and creamy vegan dressing. Veggie Burger – A house-made lentil-mushroom-walnut patty on a gluten-free bun with sweet potato fries. Zucchini Noodle Pad Thai – Zucchini spirals tossed in peanut sauce with tofu and crushed peanuts. Drinks & Pricing From cold-pressed juices and superfood lattes to organic wines and craft cocktails, there’s something for every mood. Highlights include the Golden Latte (turmeric, coconut milk, cinnamon) and the Mezcal Mule. Prices are reasonable, with entrees around 15 to 22 dollars and drinks between 6 to 12 dollars—well worth it for the quality. Final Verdict The Butcher’s Daughter is a must-visit for plant-based food lovers. With its beautiful ambiance, warm service, and delicious menu, it’s easily one of the best vegetarian spots in Williamsburg. Rating: 5/5. Would I go back? Absolutely.
