The Melt - Del Mar Highlands

I love the melt! I’m gluten-free and they have quite a few options for me. I eat here pretty often and whenever I call in my order or go to eat my favorite girl to get in the front is May! She’s always so sweet and Charismatic, and calls me darling and always makes my day! When you go in and get her, you’ll be lucky, and the food never misses, especially the cheddar bacon, ranch, and fries, which I get every time I go, delicious!

Uh, wow. The burgers are terrific. We thought this was going to be like Shake Shack - a decent smashburger - but the high quality of the beef and the toppings stood out immediately. Gluten-free bun is so great (and ask for no butter on the bun for dairy-free!) Fries were decent, we like the "melt spice" although it is mild. Folks were very friendly and knowledgeable about allergens which we appreciated.
