Staying on Colington Island, the Colington Cafe was recommended by our host. The She Crab Soup was so tasty with crabmeat in every bite! My husband opted for the Le Grande Trio and said it was one of the best meals he's ever eaten (and we dine out quite a bit). The filet was cooked perfectly and the potatoes creamy and delicious. I opted for the Shrimp Scampi (over pasta...just ask). It was bursting with shrimp with tomatoes and a wonderful light butter wine sauce. We couldn't leave without trying some dessert (very rare for us), a vanilla creme brulee, my favorite, and a gluten-free chocolate torte with pistachio mousse. Both were yummy! We started our dinner with a bottle of wine and our server, Brittany, was amazing! Great experience. Our next visit to the Outer Banks will include a stop at the Colington Cafe!

This place was so beautiful! Our experience was so wonderful. We loved that they source their food locally! Having the yellow fin tuna caught out of Wanchese was so nice. The Brie cheese was perfect light appetizer. Our waitress, Courtney, suggested the perfect wine to go with my meal as well as provided us with the gluten free menu. My husband raved about his fillet mignon with the bearinaise sauce. The desserts were also fabulous and the perfect way to finish our wonder night.
