Friendly servers and a really cute outdoor screened patio to enjoy breakfast on a nice warm day! They have tofu scramble which was nice for me because I’m vegan and gluten free. Their menu has limited options but they’re all very tasty. My husband loved his blueberry pancakes with peach sauce. We would definitely come here again. The atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing and the food is so tasty and healthy! One of the best breakfasts in OBX!
Pricey $49.95 a person. My suggestion is go there on an empty stomach! The crab & shrimp was good, the beef was perfect, very good! I definitely ate everything like a glutenous pig!
Pigmans BBQ. Another winner down here! Even the sauces are all GF. They put it on the ticket that I had a gluten allergy. Zero reaction! Very kind and caring as well!! We'll be back next time we're in town!
Gluten free celiac and they took my allergy very seriously and checked in several times. Plate was marked and no reactions after. Plus food was delicious. No marked menu but server made sure to check with kitchen and management on everything I ordered.
I've lived on the OBX my whole life. Henry's has been a constant and reliable breakfast spot. They always have great food and good service.
They just recently got Gluten Free bread which is nice. I got an Omelet which was delicious and my son got the French Toast. The portion sizes are big and very fulfilling. Inside the restaurant there is plenty of seating and a cute little gift shop which is where you pay.
If you ever come down to the OBX be sure to check them out.

3 Tequilas Restaurante Mexicano offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and a vibrant, family-friendly setting. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Many diners appreciate the generous portions and well-seasoned meals, with favorites like enchiladas, fajitas, and margaritas receiving high praise. The restaurant also accommodates dietary needs, offering gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Service is generally attentive, though peak hours can sometimes lead to longer wait times. Overall, it’s a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine in Kill Devil Hills.
CELIAC HERE! I ordered the gluten free Margherita pizza and it was the best I’ve had in my LIFE! I did not tell them I had celiac (but could have asked) however I had no reaction to the pizza and I will honestly take another 2 hour drive to visit again soon. Thank you!
Staying on Colington Island, the Colington Cafe was recommended by our host. The She Crab Soup was so tasty with crabmeat in every bite! My husband opted for the Le Grande Trio and said it was one of the best meals he's ever eaten (and we dine out quite a bit). The filet was cooked perfectly and the potatoes creamy and delicious. I opted for the Shrimp Scampi (over pasta...just ask). It was bursting with shrimp with tomatoes and a wonderful light butter wine sauce. We couldn't leave without trying some dessert (very rare for us), a vanilla creme brulee, my favorite, and a gluten-free chocolate torte with pistachio mousse. Both were yummy! We started our dinner with a bottle of wine and our server, Brittany, was amazing! Great experience. Our next visit to the Outer Banks will include a stop at the Colington Cafe!
Great food, large portions, and good service. Plenty of gluten free options to choose from.
Wished we lived closer, but will make it a point to eat here anytime we come to town.
It’s a walk-in and place your order at the counter type pizza place. Good sweet tea too! We had the Gluten Free pizza with all the meat plus X cheese, peppers and pineapple. They have a bar as well.
Highly recommend this pizza as it was soooo good!
The food is ok. I don’t consider it to be Caribbean and Mexican inspired. It’s just American food with with some Tex-Mex items. I had the blackened mahi-mahi tacos. Nice portion of fish and loved the slaw that came with them. The beans and rice had some flavor to them. Could used a little more. Like after a few bites, the food became uninteresting because there was no stand out flavor. It all melded together and became just basic food. The waitress working the bar was friendly and informative despite how busy they were. They can make adjustments to the menu to make more gluten/ dairy friendly
Loved Beachcombers! Danielle, Stone and Mike are amazing 👏 Pet friendly as you can see our Buffy loved the coolio Tiki vibes. Definitely will return & highly recommend. Also have gluten free options & an amazing Cheeseburger 🍔 Today we had Street Tacos 🌮 & Crab Cakes NOM NOM 😋
I had the jerk chicken. One of the best meals I have had at a restaurant in a long time. We were here for lunch and the service was awesome. Food quality was top notch. They had great gluten free options as well. Everyone at table was happy with meal. Highly recommend
I love living nearby. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease a couple months ago and finding a place to eat out has been hard.
They always go above and beyond to make sure my meal is gluten free with no cross contamination. I feel confident that they take my allergy seriously and I can eat without worry.
Plus, I'm not sure what they do with the egg drop soup but it's the best I've ever had. I'd be happy with a big bowl of that haha.
Thank you so much!
Great place outside to sit with our pup. Hubby had the fish and chips and a beer and enjoyed it. Bonus, they have a gluten free menu, but cross contamination is still possible. Really enjoyed it. Jacob was our bartender and he was awesome.
On vacation from Florida with the family. This is a must stop. We ate outside enjoyed a beautiful breeze
The food was delicious. The drinks were refreshing and fun. It is pet friendly as well. The staff was so friendly and helpful especially Chris.
In addition The food portions were large. Gluten free options also available Conveniently located on the beach road 👍
The food was good. Small restaurant but I liked how the tables were laid out so I didn’t feel like I was sitting with the people at the next table. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I liked how they worked together to make sure everyone is taken care of and keeping everything clean. I ordered the Pad Soi (they don’t have this available everyday). It was pretty good, different from what I’m used to. Unfortunately, they used egg noodles and I have a gluten sensitivity. Didn’t know it until after I’d started eating. That’s my fault though, I should have asked. So if you suffer from the same condition, make sure to ask since the menu doesn’t state what is gluten free.
I am gluten free and was delighted they had gf bread alternatives. I has the Regular Reuben...and it was amazing! My guyshad the chicken strip and shrimp with fries. Quality and tasty food!

1st time stopping in at Sal’s, have driven bye numerous times. It’s a cool little place with a bar and seating for a handful of guests. Ordered our food, had a drink from the bar while we waited, and just hung out. Excellent service and great staff! The food was Excellent, 2 pizzas to go 1 pepperoni, and 1 gluten free veggies. Probably one of the best tasting pizzas I’ve had in quite a while. Will definitely be a returning customer
