The front door sticks as you enter this old building as you walk into the bar. WOW, this is how a pub should be.
Low beam ceiling, no bright lights, pipped music from the 70s and 80s, 2 beers out of stock.........I'M NOT COMPLAINING im extremely pleased.
The home cooked food was fantastic, and the Gluten Free choice was good. Portions were very good, my Wife had liver and bacon with mash. I had the steak and ale pie, mash and leeks.
All presented in a lovely gravey. The food is freshly made to order, and there is no rushing to get out to the table. When the kitchen door opens, the smell of fresh food floats around the bar.
Great place, please don't change. (The temporary garden ornament looks out of place;-) )
