The Fishes

The food was good but I felt overpriced for what it was- best part of £7 for a single ball of sorbet is just a rip off. I am fully aware they are probably trying to recover from covid and the energy crisis etc which puts costs up that have to be passed onto the customer, but regardless I feel there are other places doing equally as good food for less. However staff were fantastic and accommodated my dairy and gluten free food requests.

My favourite pub in Oxford. Very special pub as this is where my husband proposed to me on the bridge over the river at the bottom of this lovely pubs garden. It's a very romantic setting. There's a teepee in the garden for hire or seating when not booked. Food is very good, a little pricey now though. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They have a dedicated gluten free menu which is great. Highly recommended.
