We went here for a late lunch and everything was absolutely amazing ❤️ we’re gluten-free lactose intolerant and vegan and this place dealt with it so well!! Most of thier menu is available with a gluten free alternative and the waitress was so lovely and understanding with allergies!
Plus the desserts are to die for you can’t even tell that they’re gluten free/vegan. It’s definitely the place to go too with allergies or not. Also the service alone was phenomenal ❤️❤️ they really went the extra mile and were so so friendly. Will for sure be bringing everyone I know :)
The food at Pho is always amazing! I am a Coeliac and this is the one place I feel 100% safe! The staff are very knowledgeable about the food and the atmosphere is always a vibe! Our servers, Rebecca and Ranjeet were also very nice!
Second visit disappointing. My daughter ordered a gluten free toasted sandwich and I ordered a quesadilla, both containing chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and chewy. Thought we’d found a gem after first visit but probably won’t return.
Rib eye steak was fantastic, and the creme brulee was a delicious dessert to round off an excellent meal. Service was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent gluten free options, including beer. Highly recommended!
Excellent Gluten free pies and gravy, YES PLEASE!
Not just a gluten-free option, there were multiple GF options.
Best part, it was excellent. Some obvious thought was put into their development.
A simple lunch that provided a simple pleasure.
Will definitely be back.
Well, well, well… I’ve never been to Bella Italia before but I think it’s one of my new favourite restaurants.
Such a friendly atmosphere, great service, and the food was exceptionally good!
I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Catered to allergies and gluten free with no issues. A very smooth and enjoyable experience. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you for the lovely time. Xx
Went for dinner with a friend and had a great experience. Staff were helpful with allergy information, they had lots gluten free options and the gluten free pizza was very very good.
Have a lovely gluten free breakfast at the Cozy Club. Had a table overlooking the street and a great server. Very much enjoyed the meal and they were careful with gluten cross contamination so I didn't get sick
I ordered a gluten free pizza margherita from the Jericho restaurant , on Deliveroo.
The pizza tasted so bad and it wasn’t even cooked properly, I understand gluten free is going to have a different taste. I’ve had gluten free pizzas from other places and it didn’t taste bad, so I’m sure it wasn’t cooked well, plus there was so much mozzarella but not proper sauce, overall it was a bad taste.
Staying in Oxford this week, we came across this fabulous restaurant.
Decor lovely.
Staff were amazing & so helpful with my gluten free requirements.
Food excellent.
Will def visit again when next in Oxford & would recommend.
We visited posh fish for their gluten free Wednesday. My partner is coeliac and so having fish and chips is somewhat of a novelty! Posh Fish handled it amazingly - the dish was so crispy and flavoursome. It didn’t go soggy at all, and was so delicious! The chips were also amazing. Gluten free salt and vinegar too - what else did we need. So brilliant, thanks!!
They didn’t flinch when I said I was coeliac, a manager told me to tell someone else I had an allergy almost as if she didn’t want to know. Mt guts turned after I left, wouldn’t go again personally as a coeliac after being told most the menu is gluten free 🤷♀️ 2/10
The selection of gluten and dairy free savoury options was okay, but what really hit the ball out of the park was the gluten and dairy free crumble *chef’s kiss*
As with many Greene King pubs, the gluten-free choices here are fairly good. My burger with cheddar on a GF bun was excellent, and the outdoor space really delightful to spend time in.
Love this spot. They don’t always have gluten free pizza bases which is kind of upsetting, and they seem to have switched where they get their chicken for the chicken wings (poorer quality). Aside from the food, lovely ambience & great service!
Great food though pricy. Make a reservation because it’s always busy. They have a menu indicating gluten free, nut free, dairy free - just ask for it. Service could be either great or meh.
Such a great place to eat in Oxford. Very cozy and chill vibe with friendly staff. We ordered the chatt plates which were a wonderful mix of flavours as a base with potato in chickpea batter in the middle. We asked for very very spicy and the chef made us a sauce from Congo peppers which she explained to us.
The staff explained the food and it was great to have the chef come and check on us.
All vegan and lots of gluten free dishes. We left very happy and very full!
Delicious food, friendly service, super good for coeliac sufferers. I've eaten here multiple times having both battered food and beer without ever getting ill. The gluten free food is excellent, the staff are well informed about allergy issues and take them seriously. Much better than some Oxford restaurants which cost three times as much and have absolutely poisoned me.
As someone who can't eat gluten, I was very disappointed with my food experience. All meat substitutes used contain gluten meaning fries could only be ordered with lots of veg on. As this wasn't my cup of tea the only option was a Greek salad which I was assured by the staff that people struggle to finish due to size.
Sadly when it arrived it was a standard size and after an easy finish of the dish I was left still pretty hungry. For £12.95 ( overpriced for some leaves feta, onion and olives) definitely not worth it!!
Lovely vibe and feel of the place but the food really let it down for me.
Food was fantastic. Service was a little short at times but timely. Separate gluten free menu not available but chef could immediately tick and cross menu items for us.
We came across this restaurant by chance while on a day trip to Oxford. We were attracted by its menu, inviting decor and size. We returned with our friend for lunch and enjoyed the mixed grill, Lamb Shwarma and grilled lamb chops with a very good bottle of Lebanese red and Lebanese coffee to finish. Good portions and well presented dishes. Excellent choice of vegetarian and mezze and also plenty of gluten-free options. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful homemade food, excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to our return.
Went for brunch yesterday and we were asked if we had any allergies, I said yes gluten and we were shown to our table and the waiter asked if it was me with the gluten allergy, I said yes and he nodded then left us with 4 menus. There is no information on the menu about what can be adjusted to be gluten free. After about 10 mins another waiter came over to take our drink order and I said that I had said I had a gluten allergy but then hadn’t had any information on what I could have and he said to wait a minute and left (without taking the drink order) and then a manager came over to tell us that bread or pancakes could be made gluten free but there was a risk of cross contamination due to the kitchen, pretty standard even though it’s annoying.
The food was very good once we sorted what I could have but the coffees were tiny! We ordered lattes and the came in mugs not much bigger than an espresso mug! Not work the cost.
Overall I would come back but staff should be more forthcoming with information on allergies and how people then need to order etc.
DO NOT EAT THE GF PIZZAS IF YOU ARE COELIAC. I asked about the gf pizzas saying I was coeliac and the manager encouraged me to order one, since they were coeliac and said they were fine for them. I spent two days in bed after eating here. Not safe for coeliacs.
Worst part is that other than these "gluten-free" pizzas, there are no other vegetarian gf options in the menu. It would be nice to have a vegetarian gf burger option, since they make gf buns but not gf vegetarian patties.
Really great for gluten free. The waitress at the end of the night (apologies, can’t remember her name) got the gluten free menu up on her phone as I had no internet connection. Great for Coeliacs, would recommend.
Great food, partner is celiac and got a burrito bowl and it was great.
Only small issue is on eof the staff didn't see very sure about allergens and said the cheese was not gluten free and questioned the sour cream. But another staff told him it was all gluten free apart from the burritos wraps themselves. Possibly some additional training needed there.
Had trouble believing the gluten free bread was actually gluten free as it was so good!!! Good selection of coeliac friendly dishes available.
Staff are excellent, friendly and well informed.
The customer service was excellent, they provided me with all my extra considerations such as my gluten free allergies. What made this experience even more delightful they gave me a free desert when i was unable to have my friends birthday cake.Coco made sure of this.
Typical pub for a great evening in Oxford.
Games are available and it is possible to eat gluten-free with a real choice of dishes. We recommend this pub
The food was good but I felt overpriced for what it was- best part of £7 for a single ball of sorbet is just a rip off. I am fully aware they are probably trying to recover from covid and the energy crisis etc which puts costs up that have to be passed onto the customer, but regardless I feel there are other places doing equally as good food for less.
However staff were fantastic and accommodated my dairy and gluten free food requests.
The thing I love about the Magic is how healthy the food is - it's healthy and delicious and vegetarian, with vegan and gluten-free options available. Modern and delicious. Also we use for takeaway as can be re-heated. Recommend!
Great value breakfast and includes perfectly toasted 2 slices of bread and real butter! Gluten free for my friend was no trouble at all including bread. Lovely family business.
I wouldn't recommend it for gluten intolerant/ celiacs. I asked about gluten free options before sitting and was told "we have many options". Eventually 99% of the manu was with gluten and I ended up getting a thin slice of meat with some raw vegetables, for which I paid 16 pounds. There are many other better restaurants in Oxford that respect their gluten-free costumers.
Arrived to something of a lingering smell of paint, which was surprising given that the place is decked out in that hipster "we didn't bother to finish this building" sort of decor with bare walls and exposed air ducts overhead. Towards the end of our meal we were treated to a blast of some sort of strong solvent-like smell which made me feel somewhat dizzy. Not exactly an enjoyable dining experience.
As for the fare, the milkshake was alright, but little better than those of fast food joints. They did meet my exacting burger order, though it wasn't anything to rave about. My gluten-intolerant friend not wishing to pay an extra premium for a bun they could actually eat opted to have a salad instead, but this seemed little different to a typical supermarket bagged salad with a generic dressing added.
In all the food was alright but not worth the sorts of prices being asked here. Even assuming the strange smells were a temporary problem I have little interest in returning.
