The Guardian bake shop is above the gold standard for gluten-free/vegan treats, friendly staff, and safety regarding dietary restrictions. This is a small, family owned local business with a menu gluten-free pastries that can't be beat.
Food: The baked goods are indiscernable from gluten goods in both taste and texture. All my friends and family enjoy this, even the ones who think gluten free food is gross.
Staff: The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have not seen staff more willing to answer questions or walk guest through the menu. They are very knowledgeable about all different dietary restrictions and love to help people find treats they can eat. They consistently go out of their way to accommodate their customers.
Safety: I have severe celiac disease. I have gotten sick just from people using dishes and utensils that have been used with gluten dishes in the past. I have never gotten sick here. They take care to keep their facility gluten free and separate the vegan and non-vegan options.
If you're thinking about visiting, do it! I can't recommend this place enough!
