The Humble Lotus

This place is quite possibly the best sushi restaurant I have ever visited. The passion of the chef's, friendliness of the staff and the dedication to having amazing menu options, all helped to curate an amazing experience for me. Also as a gluten-free/vegan it's hard to find restaurants that balance the menu between veg and non-veg equally. Very refreshing! Highly recommend!!

I’m obsessed with this place. The owners, Mai and Jarrod remembered my name and allergy weeks after I came here for the first time. The absolute sweetest people. The food is exceptional. Everything is super fresh and made on site. I was finally able to have sushi for the first time in years because they’re able to make it gluten-free. It was so so fresh. Today I am having the coconut curry chicken and it’s blowing my mind. Really amazing people great vibe in there and fantastic food.

I used to be very adventurous with food and enjoyed trying out different restaurants often. About a year ago I learned that I have Celiac Disease and that has unfortunately really restricted what I can safely eat. Japanese can be especially challenging with celiac due to soy and teriyaki sauce being in a lot of dishes, plus the element of cross contamination with AYCE sushi places that quickly put together lots of different rolls on shared surfaces. I haven’t yet got the hang of asking questions and advocating for myself when trying to eat out. It can be uncomfortable. When I came here for the first time Jared and My went over the menu with us and answered all my questions without me even needing to ask. They knew exactly what precautions needed to be taken and cleaned the surface for the rolls to be made on. Thank you, thank you Jared and My for being so accommodating. I don’t have to worry and just get to enjoy your incredible sushi.
