OUR DRINKS AND FISH N CHIPS WERE DELICIOUS! BOTH THE GLUTEN-FREE & STANDARD PORTIONS WERE HUGE!! We ordered our drinks just before 5 and were thrilled to be extended the Happy Hour discount from the bar! THE STAFF WERE DELIGHTFUL, EFFICIENT AND MADE OUR EXPERIENCE LOVELY. We waited a little long to be noticed and seated when the place was quiet inside. Actually had to step in to get someone's attention. High top table chairs are near impossible to pull yourself into the table with and our table was so wobbly we had to ask for it to be adjusted. Having to leave the restaurant to get to the bathroom to wash your hands etc before/during your dining experience is a little frustrating and odd to return back to your seat through the entrance past folks waiting to be seated.

A must-try in Ottawa! This Thai gem in ByWard Market is a bit pricey, but everything is fantastic: delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and friendly service. Plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian and vegan options, including coconut milk curries. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The food was great. Service was quite fast, we had arrived at the end of a rush. As a celiac the gluten free options were not well detailed on the menu and I had to inquire. Our server Vee was knowledgeable about the menu. The space is small though and can get very loud when crowded.

Amazing place. Affordable pricing, generous portions and great service. I've been eating here about twice a week for a while now and I've not had a single bad experience. I love the chicken shawarma plate. I feel full but not bloated. Their rice pudding is incredible, and has a hint of roses in the flavour. Both are available as gluten free options. The inside is beautifully decorated. Very peaceful. They have leather seating and benches. I have taken my family here and we have had an incredible time.

My first visit to Chop Steakhouse was an excellent experience! From the moment we were seated, our server Francesca made us feel so welcome. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive—especially helpful since it was our first time dining there. One thing that really stood out was how well they handled allergies. I have celiac disease, and both my husband and I have specific dietary needs. The staff took everything seriously and made sure our meals were safe without making it feel like an inconvenience. The portion sizes were generous, and everything we ordered was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere, amazing service, and a safe, delicious meal—we’ll definitely be back!

I have always been on the search for oatmeal raisin vegan and gluten-free cookies and I finally found them at Mary's Muffins. You would think that it would be easy to find, but they really are rare. Even store bought don't exist. So I was overjoyed to find out that Mary's muffins not only made them but they also made them with Celiac approved oats. And they taste very good and the raisins she uses have just have the perfect chewy but bit of crunch. Maybe she'll start making some chocolate chip oatmeal cookies!

Loved the place for the food, the ambience and the service. The service in particular is worth mentioning as the servers are very attentive and friendly. The food prices are good for the quantities served. We ordered the fish and chips and the gluten free steak burger along with a raspberry no-jito drink. Everything tasted good.

Chop, give yourselves a pat on the back. You nailed our dining experience last night. Where do I begin? My partner has celiac disease. She has a severe allergy to gluten and wheat. Consuming even the smallest bit of it can send her to hospital. When we advised our server, Sarah M of this, she assured us that they would take every precaution to ensure my partner's health and safety. We didn't know what we were in store for though. Rewind. We went to Chop during their Happy Hour where they have discounted drinks and food. We were seat ed about 5 minutes before Happy Hour ends. When we told Sarah we wanted some Happy Hour drinks, she offered to load in multiple drink order before the cutoff time and then she would just fill the orders and bring them when we needed our next drink. We ordered 2 glass of wine each. Sarah brought the first round promptly. We also ordered the chili garlic shrimp appetizer from the Happy Hour menu. This dish comes with a piece of bread and we asked to omit the bread to keep the dish gluten-safe. We also put in our entrée orders at that time. Another server, who we later learned was named Hannah (or Hanna) brought our appetizer and was very specific to tell us that it was gluten-free. Much to our surprise, they added a gluten-free bun to the dish to replace the ciabatta bread that the dish usually comes with. Fast forward. Entrées arrive. They were great. Again, Hanna(h) delivered them and noted that the kitchen was very particular about knowing of my partner's gluten allergy. On one of our usual server, Sarah's, returns to our table, we learned that Sarah was not even allowed to bring our food orders to our table because she was handling other people's food. They designated Hanna(h) to deliver our food in order to ensure my partner didn't accidentally come into contact with gluten. WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A RESTAURANT DO THIS! We were very very impressed. So much so, that we felt compelled to chat with a manager after we paid our bill to express how phenomenal of an experience we had. We will return to Chop. Next time, we'll arrive earlier to take more advantage of the Happy Hour discounts. We can only hope that we have Sarah and Hanna(h) serve us again.

My partner and I tried masala trail for the first time and both of us are gluten free in our reservation they let us know ahead of time they had many options, and they did! We were very happy with the selection and the food was fantastic. Our server Moe was very helpful! We will be returning

If you haven’t been to this restaurant before then you should definitely check it out, I can’t wait to go there again, the food is amazing, the service and atmosphere is so great They have great menu even for gluten free meals and prices are absolutely affordable.

The toppings one the pizza were fresh and the crust was perfectly cooked, The delivery took 30 minutes as promised and it was hot when it arrived. The place is open till midnight on Friday and Saturday till 12am, the staff is always smiling to sell pizza even at midnight when I went once for a pickup. Highly recommended this place for people with special needs, as this restaurant has VEGAN, GLUTEN and vegetarian options.

Took a friend to lunch today and I have to say it was such a great experience! The food was great and the customer service was amazing from the waitress Celina to the Manager Shiraz who made it a point to come and ensure that everything was okay as I had a gluten sensitivity. He also gave us a free dessert for an error in an order which was totally not necessary but very much appreciated. A really great experience! Will definitely go back!

The servers at Piping Kettle are always friendly and professional, the variety of soup gives me lots of choice, and there is always a gluten free option available, as well as vegan options I can bring when visiting my vegan friends.

The menu had a lot of good vegetarian options at least 5 or more which is pretty rare these days. I've also seen they had options for gluten free and vegan. When we arrived without a reservation they were able to accommodate us but if you have a bigger party I would make a reservation as it was quite busy even for a Sunday night. The servers were super friendly and covered for each other, meaning when your server was occupied another would drop by the table to help out. The food was amazing, fresh cooked pasta from scratch which tons of flavour and good sized portion. They also had an really good breadbasket that seemed a bit endless and that you could dip into some quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The atmosphere was lively with the kitchen in the middle and two dining rooms. Overall the space was clean. The only negative with the atmosphere or the space was the parking situation, on a busier night you have to park farther away from the door which can be difficult if you have mobility issues and it was a bit dim inside with the dark coloured furniture and cream walls. Maybe it's brighter during the day but at night I'd like brighter lighting. Definitely would go back. Add it to your list as a Italian place with quality that caters to a range of eating preferences and is mid range budget wise.

Food was great. I got the tuna poke bowl and my boyfriend got the hickory BBQ burger. My boyfriend is gluten intolerant so he got the gluten free bun, which is $1.99 extra. My meal was great, exactly what I was expecting and delicious. My boyfriend’s meal in the other hand, was missing almost half the toppings that were supposed to be on his burger. It was supposed to come with lettuce, tomato, hickory sticks, and jalapeño peppers. It had no hickory sticks OR jalapeño peppers which was very disappointing…. Like it’s in the name how did they miss that?? And when we got our bill, there was no gluten free bun added which might have just been a mistake and she just forgot to charge us but in my back of my mind…. Was the burger bun even gluten free??? Overall our experience was pretty decent. I would come back again but possibly be more thorough with checking everything is gluten free for my boyfriend? (Which i dont think should even be necessary as we ASKED for gluten free)

A gem in the heart of Embrun. I ordered 4 pizza's (including 1 gluten free) to celebrate my son's 10th birthday with family and I couldn't have been more impressed. I walked into a cozy pizza shop with sitting room, board games, and local products available for sale. I was greeted by a kind man who took my payment. After inquiring about the cost of the homemade garlic dips, the women preparing the pizzas said it was fine and was generous enough to include some with my order. The gentleman even opened the door for me with my arms full as I left. I can truly say I left there with a smile on my face and will definitely return. The pizza.. delicious. It's genuinely the best pizza in Russell/Embrun, do yourself a favour. AAA service and AAA pizza. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

LOVE this place!! The food is always delicious. I am obsessed with their pupusa’s. As someone with a serious gluten allergy it’s one of the only places I can trust. I’ve never had a single flare up after eating here. Highly recommend!
