The Leaning Maple

I wish I had found this restaurant sooner! If you're gluten-free, this place is absolute heaven! Everything on the menu is gluten-free and the ingredients for the waffle batter are listed in the front of the menu. This is especially important for others who, like me, have multiple allergies. Wait staff is excellent at answering questions about items on the menu. They have a wonderful variety of waffle dishes, both savory and sweet, which is their specialty. It's so hard to find a safe, gluten-free waffle when you eat out, and they not only have Celiac safe food, it's absolutely five-star yummy! My partner, who can eat anything, says that he can't tell these are not traditional wheat waffles. Although he can order any item from the menu, he always get waffles. That's how good they are! They also have a fun atmosphere with a fish aquarium on the big screen and a cozy setting where you can relax and enjoy your scrumptious food. Go there and eat waffles for breakfast, brunch and lunch! You'll be glad that you did!

The vibe when I entered this amazing restaurant for the first time was of comfort followed by overall happiness just knowing I was dining in a “safe” environment since the entire menu is GLUTEN FREE! Anyone with celiacs or a gluten sensitivity will understand this. After many visits, trying several delicious entrees off the menu I’ve decided to make this review. The Leaning Maple will NEVER disappoint! My favorite…the Homemade Apple Pie Waffle 😋. Homemade apple pie filling adorn this gluten free waffle, along with all the other delicious toppings. It’s a party in my mouth! This is just one of the many sweet waffle options. There’s also the sandwich varieties which my choice is the Turkey Pesto. Add a cup of the homemade loaded baked potato soup and you’ll have a very happy tummy. I could go on about several menu items, but I’ll let you go try for yourself….you will not be disappointed. The ambiance, friendly staff, the flavorful food, and great prices make this special space my go to every time I visit Olympia. In fact, I travel from an hour away to dine at The Leaning Maple. There’s also local artists work beautifully displayed for purchase, a pianist to add to the cozy atmosphere as you dine and discounts for veterans, seniors, etc on specific days…check it out on the website. The Leaning Maple was just voted as and was visited by American Best Restaurants, sooo deserving! My vote is 5 stars all around! Thank you staff for serving up amazing meals, see you soon 😊
