This was the first time we went to this restaurant and I can’t tell you how lovely the experience was. The energy was calm and soothing, the music old cafe jazz, you could almost feel like you were in a French bistro hole in the wall except for all the Americana pics covering the walls. It felt like coming home. As a person with celiac there are precious few spaces that aren’t dedicated gluten free that are actually safe for us. This is just such a place. We will be going back regularly. Also, lest I forget, both my husband and myself had the Cascadia burger. I had the one patty because 2 is too much, OMG was this ever juicy - and fries!!! I could order great fries without worry 🥰 It was perfect. Thank you to whoever you are who put this place together. I felt cared for.

We love this place. BUT. Charging $4 for a gluten free bun is a racket. Our kid has celiac and can’t eat gluten. I understand the GF bun might be more expensive than a regular bun, but it’s not $4 more. That kind of mark up is absolutely unfair to those that can’t eat regular buns and feels like we’re being ripped off.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not one I can trust for a gluten free meal, even though they do offer gluten free options. I told the server that I am celiac, and she assured me that the gluten free pasta is prepared separately and not cross contaminated. This is the important part--the pasta they served me was NOT GLUTEN FREE! I thought it didn't look as described in the menu (for the gluten free pasta), so thank goodness I questioned it BEFORE I ate it! They gave me regular pasta. It would have sickened me for days if I had eaten it. Celiac disease is serious, and any amount of gluten can cause damage to the lining of your intestines, not to mention just the side effects for the days following. No apologies were offered by the server and our service was very poor overall. No checking on us, water refills, etc. I am leaving this review to encourage others with celiac or gluten sensitivity to be extra cautious. I will not return. In addition, our party of 4 was cold (we ate with our coats on), again, no one checked on us for anything, we were there for 2 hours, and everyone else felt that their food was underwhelming. There wasn't one thing about the experience that would encourage any of us to return.
