The Mason Jar

I used to come here in college and loved it. The place has gone down hill . Service was slow, the toast was supposed to be gluten free. The toast was also cross contaminated with some marinara and green stuff. The green stuff looked like avocado and I have an avocado allergy. The egg was over cooked. In my opinion it was not very accommodating for people with allergies and intolerances. Not sure how this place has over 4 stars. I guess anything is good to college students when you don’t have a lot of options in the area.

I've been eating at the Mason jar on and off for 2 years. The food used to be okay but it has gotten worse and worse over the last year. I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free. Apparently the young girls working there have no idea of the seriousness of this disease. Today a friend and I ate there and when our food arrived we both took a bite and then she noticed that the sandwich I was eating she had ordered as a to go order she was very clear about it when she ordered it. So we called the waitress over and explained the situation she seemed very irritated that she had to remake the sandwich to go and then she brought me the proper sandwich. My Caesar sandwich was two dry pieces of bread with barely a hint of bacon and a few chunks of chicken some limp lettuce and stale potatoe chips. Now I sit here in my home agonizing over the gluten contamination that I received there. Needless to say I will not be eating at that restaurant any longer and I will be telling all of my friends who have special dietary needs to watch out for the Mason jar. Maybe it's a great place for the young kids that I tell you what what is the worst Food I've eaten in Cheney
