We recently were told about the Monica, so we decided to give it a try. We had guests visiting from out of town and we thought they’d enjoy The Monica. We were not disappointed … perfect evening. Two weeks later, we brought a friend to celebrate her birthday. Again, stellar food - great atmosphere. We had a service issue with the manager on duty that evening. But KUDOS to the General Manager - he addressed our concern and helped restore our faith in this great restaurant. The menu is wonderful - especially for anyone with dietary restrictions. For celiacs - needing to eat gluten free / one of the best options we’ve found. Overall, the Monica is slowly becoming our favorite place in Tucson!! It’s a treasure for Tucson!!

We really liked the atmosphere of the place. Large, open indoor space and big open outdoor space with tvs and umbrellas, plus some cool wall art. They also had a great drink selection. I really liked all the different flavors of lemonade that they offered. I am always looking for lemonade in the warmer months. However, the food was just okay. There is a big variety of food, but the flavor was bland. It needed more seasoning. We had the steak & pepper sandwich and a bowl with an added egg. They also had a vegan, gluten-free dessert that sort of tasted like a cinnamon roll.
