The Pilot Inn

By far the best pub in Eastbourne. The menu has a great variety of dishes including gluten free and vegan options. The food is incredible (especially the pies!). The staff are wonderful every time I visit and it’s a favourite when I have guests to stay. Today I had a Brie, Truffle and butternut squash tart and it was unbelievable!

This Eastbourne pub is my Dad's favourite. Hence on my visits to Eastbourne we often end up out for a meal at The Pilot. Firstly, the staff are excellent. Friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Once visiting as a group with members of a large party including vegans, and those with gluten intolerances etc , all were accommodated with no fuss or delay. Food universally of good quality and great taste with expected presentation. Large portions too. On a recent visit, as many before, we all rolled out replete and happy. Having visited for several years, can't find a downside. Though I look forward to the excellent Caesar Salad making a return to the menu soon. Hopefully.
