Gluten free options (and not just only GF toast) with separate menu, great fish and chips, lovely atmosphere, special bins for backpacks, water and snacks for dogs, highly recommend!

Always a favourite and especially when travelling with gluten free family members. GF haddock and chips is excellent. Coeliac Society certified. Be prepared for a wait at busy times and a queue to order but you can get a table if you are lucky and send a runner to queue to order. Eat in food is delivered to your table. Fair price for quality not a cheap chippie. Huge range of nationalities usually including hikers and long range bikers. Great atmosphere, super clean toilets - worth a detour as long as you are not in a hurry.

Loved this place! It was so lovely to be able to get a celiac-safe fish and chips and other treats after a long day of hiking. I had fish and chips, a cider, a salad, and took home a gluten free baked good. I came back in the morning for breakfast before hiking out, and while options were limited (just some simple breakfast sandwiches), they were tasty.
