The Roof Ellijay

We came on Saturday, November 1st around 7:30 PM- and let me just add, this place has been on my wishlist for YEARS. Too bad one bartender managed to ruin it in under five minutes. We walked up to the bar after checking in for our table, and instantly got hit with attitude from one of the bartenders- either Ashley or Camerin (they looked identical). Whoever she was, she clearly woke up and chose rude. My friend, who has celiac disease, asked a few basic questions about the drinks, and this girl acted like we’d just asked her to donate a kidney. Then she put both our drinks on one tab, and when we asked her to fix it, she snatched the clipboard so aggressively it flew out of her hand. The whole thing was just embarrassing — for her. I’ve never seen someone so bothered by doing the literal job they’re paid for. If she hates dealing with people that much, maybe food service isn’t for her. Two out of five of us were ready to leave right then and there, but since it was dark and we weren’t familiar with the area, we stayed. I wish we hadn’t. So, Ashley or Camerin- whichever one had the permanent scowl and worse attitude, congratulations!! You managed to turn what should’ve been an exciting first visit into a “never again” moment. Management, do better. UPDATE- THE OWNER IS WHRE THE STAFF GET THEIR ATTITUDE FROM!! ENTITLED TO THE MAX!!!!!!!

It was good for out of towner (3rd floor) but there is elevator on back side of building. They have gluten free bread if you want gluten free burger but not too any other choices. They did warn me about fries not being gluten free so they are aware. The mashed potato was gluten free and it didn't hit me so thumbs up.
