The Shoe and Canoe Public House

Was really excited for this place for our pre wedding celebrations with family. The ambiance is really lovely. However it was impossible to get a drink, and I was promised a gluten free bun and vegan cheese and they didn’t have either. So paid $22 for a burger with lettuce and bacon and a few greens. It took over 30 minutes to get the bill when we told the waitresses we were in a rush and asked for it three times.

Great location, cozy yet modern atmosphere. Wait staff and kitchen knowledgeable and accommodating to party members with food allergies. Gluten free options were delicious. We are grateful for our server Melanie for her kind, friendly demeanour, menu/allergy knowledge and excellent service. Thank you to Erald, Food & Beverage Manager for accommodating our last minute table of 20. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to revisiting this establishment again
