We were kind of find a breakfast place our last day there and we were going to Nikki’s but they were closed and a businessman saw that we were frustrated and recommended the speckled egg in the PGH building Oh my gosh! What an amazing building and the restaurant bar is in the rotunda of the building so you get a great view of the dome inside spectacular view. We ordered breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. I honestly have to say it was one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had dining out, made me fall in love with Pittsburgh , every meal we’ve had was delicious The service was impeccable, very friendly, knowledgeable, and good at recommending food for someone who has a gluten intolerance I had the hen hash with gluten-free toast absolutely delicious!

This place was great! It’s in a beautiful building, the staff were so nice, and the food was excellent. Found this on my gluten free app when looking for a safe option for breakfast and I’m glad we chose this place. I recommend making reservations online. Was happy to support this family owned operation.

First time having a Reuben omelet and it was very good! I was with a larger party and it was very loud and hard to hear. My biggest gripe is that I am gluten free and my omelet was supposed to come with toast. I mentioned no toast as I am gluten free and she said no problem we have gluten free toast, but never said anything about a $2.50 up charge! If I had known I would have skipped the toast.
