I don't like leaving bad reviews, but unfortunately this was an unpleasant experience for me. I'm ceoliac and after reading a great review from someone else who was ceoliac, we booked to eat here. It was heaving, good sign. I checked everything I was ordering didn't contain gluten, no cross contamination. But it was very busy, loud, and I didn't feel very reassured to be honest. When the curry arrived, although I only ordered chicken, it looked like tikka meat. I had already stated at ordering that I couldn't eat the tikka starter, due to cross contamination in the tandoor oven with the nan breads. I didn't eat much of it for fear of being glutened. And I knew within 5 minutes when the bloating came that I had. But 2 hours later I was horrendously ill, vomitting etc which is an extreme reaction for me. I did email them explaining what had happened and asked them to educate their staff so nobody has to go through this ordeal in the future. They replied and were very apologetic, that it had never happened before and advised they have spoken to all of thier staff regarding the matter, and in fact he has a young son who has a gluten allergy. Therefore they are and should be aware of the seriousness, and I hope now the correct measures are in place to prevent this unfortunate incident occurring again and that this was a one off. But if you are ceoliac, I would be very careful. I would suggest to the restaurant that when someone has dietary requirements, they are dedicated one server who is fully aware of all the allergens and cross contamination risks.
