Tortino Italian Restaurant

Was generally unimpressed by most of the elements here except for perhaps the ease of getting a reservation (potentially a red flag in retrospect). While one of our dishes was quite good (lamb ravioli), the other (the salmon) was different from the description (mashed garlic potatoes instead of fingerling, with no substitutions). Service was also fine but not great—we were up charged on water without realizing we wouldn’t be brought tap water, and it took a long time to get the check. There also just aren’t a lot of gluten free options FYI. Maybe it was an off night, but I’ll probably check out one of the many other Italian restaurants around DC next time.

Great service and outstanding food. I had the grilled fish and my colleague had shrimp and a salad. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. They also went out of their way to ensure that my meal was gluten free. Flavorful and gluten free is a rare combination. I’m going to need to go back, so that I can try the other dishes.
