Back to this restaurant after a 15+ year gap (while we were living elsewhere) and everything is still great. Table wait staff were very well trained and the maitre d's were attentive, personable and were easy to converse with. Both dishes that we chose and the appetizer were large, generous portions that we took home. They have a whole page in the menu dedicated to gluten free options (not just footnotes).

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed lunch yesterday at Trattoria Caffe Italia. Everything was wonderful: ambiance, food and service. We were pleased to see a number of gluten-free options. It’s the second time I have been to this charming restaurant since returning to Ottawa three years ago and Trattoria Caffe Italia is definitely a favourite!
