My first time at this restaurant I have been driving by for so many years I decided to go in today and try some butter chicken, I also ordered matar paneer and some garlic Naan. I have been to at least 5 Indian restaurants in ottawa, every restaurant has a slightly different flavor on there food Each one has a different take on there Naan bread, but all were very good, so was the butter chicken The butter chicken at Indian express was excellent I noticed that the chicken was very tender. all the other restaurants I have been to the chicken was dry. The Naan bread was very good, nice and fresh loved it, no complaints here. The matar paneer was also fresh and flavourful, the rice was also fresh. Indian express also makes fresh deserts on site I tried a square with Mango and coconut WOW WHAT FLAVOR, They also had a gluten free chickpea flour ball with Cashews WOW the flavours just keep on coming Had to get an assortment of desserts oh so good After one bite you will know what I mean. Well I have no complaints on the food at Indian Express, service was good, very happy will be back.

Amaaaazing gluten free ramen options!!! My husband and I both enjoyed our ramen (his was gluten free). Tonkatsu broth was so flavorful and the noodles were great. I just wish it came with a whole egg not just half.

I liked this restaurant enough that I would definitely go back. The wine list is interesting, and they have a robust NA menu. I had the plant based 'meat' balls and I enjoyed my food, and the portion size was large enough for a meal. I would like to come back here again and try the small plates instead. It was a little pricey: two glasses of wine, a plate of meatless balls, and a dessert came to just over 100 dollars with tip for one person, so I would say coming here is more of a treat. Definitely check it out if you want to try some tasty plant based food options! They also seem to have extensive gluten free options on their menu.

Went out for my friend’s birthday dinner, ordered three ramen bowls and some sweet potato fries. Loved the ambiance- with art from so many anime shows (Black clover, Pokémon, etc.) Dim lighting really accentuates the mood, it was really lovely! Tried some fantastic sweet sake. Got some gluten free veggie gyoza (honestly tastes a lot like pork dumplings yum 🥟!) with tofu noodles, they were really careful about my poultry allergy as well. So great! The wait was long, but WELL worth it! ありがとうございます。　( ◠‿◠ )

Came in on a rainy Friday afternoon to try a few tacos. The table service was slow but the food came out quickly. We got the shrimp taco, chorizo, vegetable and birria. We really liked the Chorizo and Birria, and would pass on the other two. They were able to accommodate my gluten and dairy free allergies :)

My friend and I had dinner here last night. This restaurant is an absolute gem and so lovely. The staff/folks who run this place make you feel warm and relaxed. The food was incredible and they were more than happy to accommodate my gluten intolerance. A gentleman who clearly is a bit of a regular brought them a piece of art that he thought they would like and gave it to them after he finished his meal and it was one of the most wholesome interactions I’ve seen in a while. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and just an overall great experience. Can’t wait to go back.

Back to this restaurant after a 15+ year gap (while we were living elsewhere) and everything is still great. Table wait staff were very well trained and the maitre d's were attentive, personable and were easy to converse with. Both dishes that we chose and the appetizer were large, generous portions that we took home. They have a whole page in the menu dedicated to gluten free options (not just footnotes).

Amazing food amazing drinks amazing service amazing staff. It’s obvious that everyone who works here has their heart invested. Simple idea that their good is made for sharing and it’s such a great concept. Food was amazing you must try the lemon potato fingers they are soooo good. Thank you to you all for making our Saturday evening dinner in Ottawa so memorable They also accompanied all our dishes so my friend who’s celiac could enjoy them all. Well done.

Favourite place. Really creative and delicious snacks. Nice gluten free section. Fantastic ice cream fridge (stock goes fast!!). Acceptable to use your laptop or read or play cards w friends. Not all the seating is great. Fridays they have really fun trivia. Starts at 7:30 but get there by 5:30pm if you want to get in with a partner, earlier for bigger groups, no resos.

What an amazing place to get takeout pizza from! They say a 1 m piece feeds four, I think it feeds six to eight! The hot honey is amazing, and the Cesar salad was the best I’ve had in Ottawa (they use anchovies in the sauce and there’s no bacon bits, and you can get gluten free, so it’s halal, pescatarian and can be gluten free, amazing!).

Excellent customer service and great food! I can't eat gluten and they went out of their way to help me figure out options that were safe. Definitely recommend!

Disadvantages: 1. The gluten is dry, hard and difficult to chew, and even some parts are a bit prickly in the mouth. 2. The soup has a lot of oil and smells fragrant, but the taste is very bland and only greasy (my friends also think so, and they have not lost their sense of taste). Think of it like a whole bowl filled with oil and then sprayed with gourmet scented perfume. 3. There are very few types of vegetables, meats and meatballs in the freezer, which is half of what I’ve been to in other similar stores in Ottawa. Maybe it will be updated later. 4. There is almost no parking space. There are four or five bars on the roadside, but they are always full. The parking lot behind the store seems to be closed to customers. 5. It’s expensive to order just anything, and the price is quite high (compared to other Chinese restaurants in Ottawa) Advantages: 1. Gluten has a domestic taste. 2. The meat and vegetables are very tender after cooking, but... 3. I can’t boast anymore, so let’s leave it at that. I don’t really like it anyway.

This place is small and intimate. The service and food were delicious. We are both gluten free and they were very accommodating. My husband had the filet mignon which just melted in your mouth. Very high quality meat. I had the cod dish that was nice and light and had great flavors. If they could add a gluten free desert to the menu that would be outstanding. We have already recommended to several of our friends.

This has quickly become my favourite place to eat. The Chinese menu is amazing and is highly customizable. Vegan friendly, gluten free options, spicy or mild - you decide. The service is incredible, the staff are warm and kind people who deserve your business. The decor is engaging and transportative. But the prices! So inexpensive! Everyone could eat here all the time! And should. Go now.

We went there for a dinner two days in a row! The food was deliscious and the owner of the restaurant is super sweet and nice. I cannot eat gluten and the was very informative about everything on the menu. Would recommend everyone who is nearby to stop there!
