When ordering a $23 gluten-free burger for pickup, you’d expect it to taste good and be ready on time. Unfortunately, my first experience with True Food Kitchen was disappointing. The gluten-free bun was so hard it hurt my jaw, as if it had been sitting out all day, and the flavors just weren’t there—it simply wasn’t a good burger.
I was told my order would be ready at 7:41, but it wasn’t ready until 7:55. The employee handling pickup orders was diligent, polite, and kept me updated, even offering a free gluten-free cookie to help with the long wait. However, standing around for 15 minutes in an area with nowhere to sit was frustrating. At this price point and with the disappointing food quality, trying again feels like a gamble, so I probably won’t be back soon.
