Must visit if you follow a gluten free diet, must visit even if you don't! My husband and I came here for brunch on our way out of town because of their plethora of gluten free options. I was pleasantly surprised they were serving brunch so I could get the gluten free fried chicken sandwich. It was the most heavenly gluten free food I've had anywhere, ever. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the gf bun was AMAZING. Truly didn't feel like it was gluten free, held together really well and wasn't a super dense puck of bread like other buns. My husband also got the fried chicken sandwich, with gluten, and loved it as well. I also got the gf avocado toast to go and loved it even a few hours later when I finally got hungry enough to eat it.
We also got the red mimosa (perfect) bloody mary (amazing) and a drip coffee. Everything was truly outstanding and we will most definitely be coming back when in Chicago again. 10/5 stars.
We have been here a few times and had a nice time. My only complaint was that last time they provided me a Gluten Free roll In a plastic bag, but it was moldy. I do appreciate that they had an option for me, however. They have a great selection of foods and drinks and the atmosphere is upbeat and cozy.
We had high hopes for Maggie’s in Oakbrook, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. My rigatoni pasta was overly salty and unexpectedly spicy, despite requesting gluten-free — which left my stomach uneasy after just a few bites. My daughter’s pasta had a strange milky, sugary taste that she didn’t enjoy at all. On a positive note, the appetizers were okay, and my husband’s seafood pasta was okay. Overall, the food felt mediocre and overpriced for the quality. In terms of pasta, in my opinion, Olive Garden delivers a better pasta experience than what we had here.
1st time here and very impressed! Felt like an elevated version of Egg Harbor. Great kid meals. Gluten-free pancakes and strawberry orange juice were fantastic! Lots of fun special beverages. Also lunch items like chicken tinga, which I’d love to go back to try!
I had lunch at Wildfire and it was tasty but personally not anything to make me return. The service was nice and swift and I did appreciate the gluten free option however it was just alright.
What a great experience!
The menu has gluten free options and a few vegan options. The dessert menu is delicious and very unique.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Our waiter, Adonis, was a great person to work with. I made a mistake in my order and Adonis quickly found a better suggestion for me.
Parking is free in the mall. The lot is busy on a few nights of the week.
Landed in Chicago and needed a quick bite before our hotel. Our waiter Erica was friendly, informative and made gluten-free no stress to eat off the menu!! Thank you Erica!
I am slowly falling in love with this place. And it isn’t just because of the gluten-free options. The service (Wilson!☺️) and quality of food is exceptional. Love that it is family owned and local. Thanks for being here.
Went to Roka Akor last night with my wife and told the waiter about my gluten allergy and was reassured I was safe to eat there. I read on their FAQ page they have a gluten free menu but when I called ahead to confirm they said they do not which itself is extremely misleading. I ordered two sushi rolls that the waiter once again reassured us would be safe but I did not even get to finish my rolls before getting violently sick. While I understand that no kitchen is sage, for the waiter and kitchen staff to act like they care about food allergies then blatantly ignore them was disappointing to see. I do not recommend anyone with any type of food allergy to go to Roka Akor after witnessing last night's events. Furthermore, the price and portion sizes are not reasonable at all and the other non gluten free food was very mediocre given the price point. There are far better options in the area, I would avoid this restaurant.
Great quick lunch stop while out shopping! I was glad to see the option for both a gluten free bun (extra charge) as well as a lettuce wrap (no charge)
My favorite thing about roti is how clean the food tastes. I get the chicken bowl with saffron rice. And it never disappoints. The gluten free pitas are surprisingly good.
The place is always clean when we come in. Parking is free and plentiful.
My kids love the fruit punch drink and falafel.
We come here about 1-2 times per month.
I love this place , i actually only come here because of the manager Tom . He accommodates perfectly for my girlfriend and I . You can come here and make sure you won’t be getting dairy and gluten contamination . It’s actually the only reason we come so often . Thank you Tom !!!!
I liked the free Saucy Stocking Stuffer Hot Sauce
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
Food was good. I ordered vegetarian burger with fries and vegetarian bowl . I liked the burger very much . The burger petty was fresh and crispy. The sauce used was too good,
They provided some sauces , I liked them .
I also grabbed bundle up offer in $4 . Pineapple juice was good .
No wait .Very quick service.
I liked the creamy sauce too much . And bought one bottle too.
Good to know that peri peri sauce is gluten free and without any preservatives and flavours .
Prices are worth
Highly recommend and will visit again soon with family and friends
10/10 would recommend! My soon to be mother in law booked Ozzies space for my bridal shower this past weekend. Ozzie whipped up items that were not on his menu for the shower and they were DELICIOUS. We had lemon garlic chicken, Italian beef sandwiches, gluten-free roasted vegetable pasta and fresh garden Salads. Everything was delicious and Ozzie was absolutely amazing to work with.
Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the meals, cocktails, and dessert. Luis was a fantastic waiter and was very accommodating to our gluten allergy. He was extremely charismatic and friendly. He made great recommendations and ensured everything was safe to eat. Great service from the staff. 10/10!
The food was amazing! My son had a Ramen noodle bowl, and he said it was the best he had ever had. The gluten-free quinoa salad was excellent as well. Service was friendly and efficient. I love seeing the furniture that Crate & Barrel sells actually being used in their restaurant.
Sweetgreen always comes through. I use the app, work nearby, place orders for pickup. I love blackened chicken with anything. I like to throw the pickled onions into whatever I get. I love the allergen guides which helps me to stay gluten free, nut free, soy free... and opt in to dairy when I fancy.
Staff here always delivers reliable service. Thank you!
Delicious! My husband and I love tapas and this is the best in the burbs! I have celiacs disease and they have soooooo many GF options. Cool location too on the 9th floor of a hotel. We’ll be going back!
We went to oak brook mall last week and they have this new food court next to the movie theater. We tried pie five and the kids loved it. They were able to put whatever they wanted on it for the same price. I was able to get a gluten free crust with vegan cheese which is really hard to find!! We will be back
