Went for their Hot Chocolate Festival offerings! Blooming Bliss ($10.50) was rich with white chocolate, and flavourful with the addition of cardamom and rose water. The dried rose petals were edible, but we weren't a fan of the texture! It came with a lemon macaron. The ChocoBubbles Thai Dream ($9.95) was interesting. Definitely heavy on the dark chocolate, I wish the Thai black tea shone through more! If I gave a percentage in terms of taste, dark chocolate was 90% and the Thai black tea was 10%. Lacking the tea flavour. The tapioca pearls are not the kind you would find at bubble tea shops. While they were chewy and sweet, they were quite small and stuck together easily. I did like the play on textures, but I wish the drink as a whole was more reminiscent of the bubble tea experience! The coconut sorbetto it came with was fantastic. Perfect flavour to counteract the heavy, rich chocolate, and it had coconut flakes mixed in as well.
The location is interesting, as it's right next to Mahony's and looks like they carved a vacant spot out of that unit for Uno Gelato (a set of doors separates their interior). Seating for 2 small groups inside. The lady who helped us was very friendly! They have quite a few vegan/gluten free options, so I'd love to return when the weather is warmer.
