We had a great time! The food was a great quality and the atmosphere was fantastic! I am also gluten free, and there were plenty of delicious options available! We started with salads, and my friend had gqrlic bread as well. Then, I had the gluten free Penne and Italian Sausage, and my friend had Dee Dee's Tortellini Carbonara. We both enjoyed our meal, and there was more than enough in the portion sizes. I also got the Death by Chocolate cake to take home, because a gluten free dessert is rare and it was chocolate. Our waitress was also wonderful and friendly, and helpful with our questions. We will definitely be going back!

Food was generally fine. The prices were surprisingly high and they add on a 3.5% service fee for using a credit card. Gluten free menu was a nice surprise.

My husband and I visited Galena for the first time a few weeks ago. We were looking at restaurant options that could accommodate gluten free items and was thankful to have found VV and that they took reservations on Open Table. Upon arriving to the restaurant, it was a little confusing as far as where to go. We checked in with one hostess and was told to go to another area upstairs to a different hostess before eventually being taken to the right area. We dined outside and our server was fantastic - very sweet, professional, timely and funny. We loved the ambiance and the variety in the menu. I ordered a baked pasta dish with meatballs, my husband a gluten free pasta dish with peppers/veggies/sausage. I really wish I could give a 5 star review but the entrees were very disappointing. I am a HUGE fan of Italian food and I hate to say this but I've had more flavor from jarred pasta sauce. The garlic bread, although cooked perfectly, was also bland and lacked a strong garlic flavor that you would expect. The salad was fine and the wine pour was generous but for the overall price point, I sadly would not recommend visiting.
