Vip Sushi & Hibachi

I decided to give this restaurant a second chance after my first experience of dining in. Unfortunately the results were the same. The sushi was extremely disappointing. I have had sushi all over the United States so my review is based upon many experiences some outstanding and others not so much. VIP Sushi is in my opinion not worthwhile. I ordered a spicy yellowtail roll, the fish was dry, no flavor and had some type of crunchy bread crumb which I have never had in this type of roll. There was no spicy sauce drizzled on top. Nothing spicy about it and the crunchy crumbs triggered my gluten sensitivity. Also ordered 3 basic types of sushi, the salmon, tuna and yellowtail. The salmon and tuna were bland, lacking in flavor and it was difficult to tell the 2 apart, the yellowtail tasted fishy. The rice in the roll and sushi was overly sticky and gummy. I was disappointed and needless to say I won't be returning. My meal cost $28. The quest to find great sushi continues...

The restaurant is open for dine in again. Food and staff were awesome. They were more than happy yo help coach us on their gluten free items for a member of our party.
