Vivace

Dining area and tables a bit small. Can fully hear other people's convo during dinner because it's small and cramped. At least the room we were in. Didn't matter much because the food was amazing. Service was also great. Absolutely amazing... This is respectfully comparable to the upscale Italian restaurants in Chicago. I had the chicken parm w/sausage & gluten free pasta. WOW 10/10 -- The pasta and everything tasted exactly like it was made from scratch. The texture in the pasta is so beautiful. Elegant dining experience and the waitress was very accommodating. Please visit this gem if you're ever in the area. We would definitely visit again! Thanks staff + cook! =) Waterman’s surfside grille This was right across the street from out hotel. I saw this place stay packed throughout the day the WHOLE weekend. Thank goodness we only had to walk across the street. They only offer valet parking at the restaurant, so just be aware. There's a beautiful view inside of the ocean front. It looks better on the inside than the outside. I had the fried seafood platter with the soup. It was amazing. Oh my goodness.. I wish I would've ate here more than once! 10/10 experience.

My husband and I were in Cville shopping & decided on Vivace while searching for Italian food offering gluten free options. We arrived 30 min before they opened, bc we didn't even think to look at the time. But we were invited to sit in the foyer until they were ready to seat us. After about 10 min, we were offered something to drink, which we declined bc we were honestly fine waiting, and didn't want to put them out since we showed up early. When we were seated - 10 min before opening - we found out our server was the kind lady, Linda, who had greetedbus upon arrival. She knew her specials perfectly and convinced me to get the salmon special, which was absolutely perfect. My husband chose the lasagna bolognese - was the best he's had - and the service and food were great. We declined dessert bc we were both stuffed. When Linda brought us the check, she also brought us a slice of the dessert special bc we had to wait to so long to be seated. If you're looking for delicious Italian, friendly and efficient service and a classy atmosphere, definitely give Vivace a try. We'll be back!
