My partner and I had a lovely lunch here on our trip to York last week. He is a newly-diagnosed coeliac, so finding places to eat that handle gluten mindfully, and offer gluten-free alternatives, has been at the forefront of our minds. Wheldrakes had plenty of glute-free options and gluten-free alternatives. I had a salad from their specials board, with goat cheese, it was incredibly flavourful, while he had a jacket potato with lots of cheese, also very tasty. My unexpected highlight was the chai latte, it was without a doubt the best one I've ever had. So rich and flavourful without being nauseatingly sweet - any chance you could share the recipe so I can make it at home?? :)
