My son and I split the gluten free schnitzel with brussels and potato salad. My husband got the regular schnitzel with potato pancake and spatzel. We both absolutely loved our meals, felt it was authentic and were so grateful for a safe gluten free option. We will definitely be back when we are visiting. Thank you for the great service!

The tavern while unassuming is a fabulous location to go especially if you are looking to try German food/ beer for the first time or are seeking to get your German food fix. We had a party with a lot of allergies to include gluten and peanuts and they easily accommodated foods to support. For the first time out celiac was able to get gluten free schnitzel that they prepare in a separate pan to avoid cross contamination! The pretzels were large and easily shareable with appetizers and the German chocolate cake was excellent.

We went there after reading a couple of reviews mentioning gluten free options. It may have been due to holiday schedule but service was very slow (looked like only two servers for the whole place). When asked about gluten free options they couldn't do potato pancakes because the one cook who can make them gluten free wasn't working that night. Also they weren't using their designated gluten free fryer so anything on the menu fried was also not an option. Very disappointed, but fortunately the pot roast was an option and amazing. Also potatoe salad is a must try. Would go back again, but will be calling first.
