Wild Cafe

Not suitable for those with dietary requirements/allergies. I am a celiac and was told before we sat down that they could accommodate some gluten free adjustments, after the waitress had a conversation with the chef I was told they would just have to change the way they prepare a couple of things. Whilst ordering I enquired if the sausages were gluten free and was told no which is fine. when my breakfast arrived I would say it was about half the size of my partners meal which had no changes. I had not been told they would have to take anything else off. The management was rude, with no apology and I was simply told they don’t cater to allergies. I was thoroughly disappointed as if I had been told this at the beginning I would have been able to go elsewhere, instead of wasting everyone’s time. We were in the end given a refund for my meal however it was just upsetting as I didn’t feel like my requirements were understood.

Many months ago when one of the team was first diagnosed, they contacted Wild Cafe and were impressed with their transparency. Although they have gluten free bread available, they said they weren't able to offer anything gluten free because of the risk of cross contamination in their small kitchen. So as with all our BOTR reviews, they get ★★★☆☆ and a thank you for being so honest.
