Wilma's

We had an amazing experience! We tried the Thursday tasting menu special and it was so much fun. We got to try 12 different things on the menu. The pork belly and crab dip were amazing! The crab cake and shrimp and grits were equally delicious. There were great gluten free options. The manager was very friendly and answered all our questions. The space was both historic and modern. We would definitely come again. Even took home a Photo Booth souvenir!

Wilma's has done an absolutely wonderful job of resurrecting this once proud 100 year old building. Their predecessor allowed the building to get a little run down before giving up the ghost, but for sure 900 N Market is back as an interesting and remarkable destination. Also, whoever came up with the concept of bowling for this place is a genius, and I say that as someone who doesn't bowl. The concept, design, and execution of this place is nothing short of a home run, and this is a welcome addition to the city. The food was exceptional. I went for lunch, and had the grits and shrimp, and my dining partner had the Wilma burger. I'll say up front that I'm not a huge fan of grits, and can pretty much take them or leave them. My expectations were tempered because of this, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the dish was delicious. Both the grits and the shrimp cooked to perfection. My dining partner reported that the burger was great, and among the best in the area. Huge shout out to Wilma's for a variety of gluten free dishes, and for marking them clearly on the menu. Having said that, please consider adding a gluten-free hamburger bun, which would open up your what appears to be wonderful burger offerings to your gluten free customers. The folks at Wilma's have done a great job with this place and it should be on your short list to visit. It's hard to imagine anyone finding disappointment here.
