Woodfire Restaurant & Catering

I visited Woodfire Restaurant and Catering on Labor Day weekend with a group of 4. We made a reservation and when we arrived we were politely informed our table would be a few more minutes as they were short staffed. We were able to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while waiting. We ordered a variety of items to share - Jumbo shrimp, flatbread, pizza, salad, soup, Gertie fries, and more. The food was delicious, fresh and the portions were generous. I also appreciated the care to ensuring items were gluten free (I am celiac). The service was a bit slow (but it was prefaced that they were short staffed) but we enjoyed a really lovely evening. I would definitely go back next time I visit Gabriola.

Highly recommend! First visit was during a massive power outage and all the staff were troopers - customer service was their number one priority. Many delicious gluten free options available plus an awesome wine list too. We will be back for sure! Much thanks to our server Sharon and all the other staff!
