This was such an exciting discovery. I have had GF and non GF bahn mi, being gluten intolerant and hedonistic, and this still topped them all. Bread was crunchy and flavoursome, absolutely indistinguishable, and the pork filling was divine. The treats also topped many normal ones I've tried (cinnamon bun was to die for). 11/10!

Had an amazing meal at mate cafe. I have coeliac disease and they were able to cater well to this and were very well educated on cross contamination. I felt very safe eating the food because of this. The food was delicious and flavoursome and very reasonably priced. The owners were so kind, we had a great chat! We wish we could have come here again during our stay in Hoi an. Would definitely recommend coming here for authentic and tasty Vietnamese food. Particularly great to go if you are gluten free!!

Nice place. You can sit outside on the river side, which is very nice at night.
The waitress knew what gluten was, but I had to specifically ask that there was no soy sauce or Knorr in the dish. Then she recommended me a good dish that was tasty and I didn't have any problems afterward.
