I've been going to Babette's for more than 2 years and I'm simply in love with their new space at the Sprig Wellness Centre! It's so beautiful, calm and relaxing! I have had almost every dish on Babette's menu and I love that it is healthy, farm to table style meals without any nasty ingredients. Fran, the owner is absolutely divine and always share such nice foodie tips with me when we visit! Having a gluten allergy I was super happy to find this place, as they have lots of GF options and seemed to take it seriously (not always the case in CT).
Ordered online and selected GF option for both bread and flapjack. I also wrote a brief note in my order re the allergy. Food arrived and the bread wasn’t GF but only realised after a couple of bites.
Long story short - food was nice but because of their slack outlook on GF (nothing was done regarding this) I couldn’t feel safe eating at this restaurant again. If you too have an allergy or intolerance, be mindful when ordering.

I'm celiac, so I can't eat gluten at all. At the menu there are some dishes marked as gluten free, but always double check with the kitchen / waitress if it's 100% save. We went there two times and I always had the fish. It's delicious and I didn't had any problems. So totally recommend this place.

We were 4 diners. My daughter has Celiac disease so we specifically went to Maria’s because they advertised gluten free food. The food was amazingly good! But the manager was rude and abrasive, very dismissive when we asked for assurance that the food was prepared separately. When we got our starters, her gluten free starter was placed next to pita bread that was NOT gluten free, thus contaminating her food. When we pointed this out to the manager, he simply shrugged and left. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. And also apologetic about another table that was very loud, causing us to not stay for dessert because the noise level was simply too high! The only down side about the food was the baklava fingers we ordered as take away. They were vile! Tasted only of cinnamon. I’m Greek so I know how they should taste. Very disappointing dessert, don’t order that!
