I cannot praise the Kraken enough. Last Saturday we brought a group of 23 girls and 4 adults to the Kraken. I had previously liaised with Becky who allowed us to pre-order. On the day Becky and her staff were amazing. The food arrived promptly and everything was delicious. Really great value too. One of our group is coeliac and her needs were catered for without any fuss. The pods were warm and cosy. Nothing was too much bother for Becky and her staff. Thoroughly recommend a visit : )

I never normally leave a review for anywhere but I am obsessed with this place 😍!For so many reasons, I am coeliac and have dined breakfast lunch brunch and dinner and the options are amazing and delicious.The staff are superb so so kind so knowledgeable and lovely girl even reassured me that they use separate everything to make my meal and hoped I wouldn’t be worried ! I have been coeliac for 10 and a half years and never have I had so much reassurance from somewhere which is amazing as I feel so normal and relaxed which is rare when going out to eat with an allergy .The food is lovely so much choice which again is rare ! And it’s cheap what more could you want . This location is my favourite in Belfast as I have been to another one but the staff weren’t the same couldn’t recommend more ❤️

The prices! I've choked on them since the last time we ate there a few days ago. We have eaten here before but not in about 9 months. I thought prices were ridiculous then but now they are eye watering. £4.40 for a SMALL CHIP. £5.50 for small chip with sauce. £13.60 for fish supper work no peas or tartare - those will cost your another £1.30 each and the tub of tartare is tiny! We got 2 mini fish suppers (and trust me it's mini) 1 peas and 2 tartare - £19.20. We ate here as we were on our back from Belfast and really hungry and they do gluten free. I doubt we'll eat there again. The prices just aren't justified

If you’re in Belfast, you must stop by the Great Northern Mall and pop in to this absolute gem of a place. We were already excited to hear Nica Nica did gluten free cannolis and croissants. i said i was gluten intolerant from the moment i walked in, when i ordered my food and asked if the soup was gluten free it seemed majorly out of the servers way to do that for me, she said she’d ask. She never came back, ordered the soup and fries i asked for, not letting me know if they were gluten free or not. had to ask a different server to go and check twice about the fries and soup, after they had arrived. I wasn’t given the soup options it was chosen for me, again not knowing at this point if it was gluten free. I didn’t feel that welcome by who was serving me and i’m pretty sure i was over charged. Everyone else lovely and lovely cafe but i didn’t enjoy my time there.

They charge you extra for additional fillings even when you have to swap because it's not gluten free. They used to have many gluten and dairy free options not any more. Called in last night for a small family celebration. Staff were knowledgeable on the issues with cooking gluten-free pizza in a shared oven, but made it clear the cooking bases were not shared.
