JOEY has been a favorite since it opened - always amazing food (celiac-friendly), drinks, service, and ambiance. DEFACTO GLUTEN FREE CAFE in Newport Beach! So, I've had celiac for a few years now. I love documenting my favorite places that don't put my intestines into a coma. This place is so legit. The quality is just as the namesake goes; SCRATCH. The manager Tyler is super amazing. Always helping out and ensuring a wonderful environment for every guest here. I feel welcomed as a family member here. They cater to allergies very seriously. That's what the world needs right now, and I'm all here for it. They made me a gluten free burger using gluten free sandwich bread. That's not even on the menu! That's how you know they care. Time to go taste test this beauty. Might edit to update on the flavor, but I've already had the pastries so I know it'll be delicious haha.
