Our 1st time to the area and enjoying Osprey Tacos. The food was amazing! Would highly recommend this place to everyone! Note - if you show up right when they open, the place is not packed, yet. If you can only eat out at one place in St Augustine, make it Osprey Taco!! Additionally, we went needing one gluten free meal and they could easily accommodate!

Pizzalley’s Chianti Room is situated in a prime location in St. Augustine, and the atmosphere is inviting and pleasant. However, our dining experience was marred by several issues that left us feeling frustrated. Service Issues: Upon arrival at 2:55 PM, a time when the restaurant was not particularly busy, we expected a timely greeting and service. Unfortunately, it took an unacceptably long time for our waiter to approach us and take our initial orders. This delay was surprising given the number of open tables around us. As our wait continued, we found ourselves having to remind the waiter about our requests multiple times, which only added to our dissatisfaction. Children’s Experience: One of the most disappointing aspects of our visit was how our children were treated. While other families at nearby tables received coloring pages and crayons to keep their kids entertained, ours did not. After noticing this discrepancy, we asked for coloring materials but ended up waiting for quite some time without any response. Eventually, one of our group members took the initiative to retrieve the coloring pages and crayons herself, which should not have been necessary. This lack of attention to families with children made the experience feel less welcoming. Plant-based Menu and Pricing Concerns As a vegan family, we were initially pleased to see that the menu offered customizable options. We ordered a vegan pizza, and while our waiter suggested a vegetarian pizza without cheese, we were able to request different vegetables to suit our preferences. However, we were taken aback when we received the bill: $27 for a 10” gluten-free pizza that contained only tomato sauce, a sprinkle of broccoli, mushrooms, pineapple, and a few pieces of eggplant. In stark contrast, friends dining with us paid the same price for a 16” pizza loaded with an impressive array of toppings—pepperoni, sausage, cheese, vegetables, and specialty ingredients (they ordered half Garbage Can half Pig’n’Fig pie). It felt as though we were being penalized for choosing healthier options. Charging extra for a simple vegan pizza with minimal ingredients is not only unreasonable but also discouraging for those seeking plant-based meals. Conclusion: While Pizzalley’s Chianti Room boasts an attractive location and a pleasant atmosphere, the combination of poor service, inadequate attention to children’s needs, and exorbitant pricing for simple vegan options left us feeling dissatisfied. This experience does not align with what one would hope for in a family-friendly restaurant. We cannot recommend this establishment based on our visit.

The one star is for the garden out back. Took my son there for a gluten free crepe and I ordered a regular one. The whole experience was disappointing to put it mildly. One girl working at around 5:30pm. We went for dessert and my crepe came out and it was terrible. The crepe was rubbery and slathered in chocolate. Too much chocolate. My son’s GF crepe never came out. I went to check on it and the girl apologized and said she was having trouble with the batter. I told her it didn’t have to be perfect and my son would still be happy. After a 30 minute wait I went back in and she said they had to make new batter. We couldn’t wait any longer and we left. She did refund my money. I have no idea why she couldn’t come tell us what was going on instead of me having to repeatedly check on the order. I regret eating my crepe because it was awful and I regret going there and disappointing my son. He was excited. I make WAY better GF crepes at home. Do not recommend going there. Save your money for good food.

I went with family because they have a gluten-sensitive menu. Horrible experience. I think it was mostly the waitresses' fault. I got pork belly tacos off of the gluten sensitive menu. I asked her to please put in a note for the kitchen that I have wheat and dairy allergies and it went downhill from there. She said they weren't wheat tortillas they were flour. I said I needed corn. I was brought flour tortillas and she said she forgot to put them in right. I asked for a pineapple mimosa but they brought out a glass with less than a cup of liquid that had no pineapple. Etc. Management comped my food. I will not be back. Please think twice before coming if you have allergies too.

Stumbled onto this place and glad we did! Everything was fantastic, great food, great service, great atmosphere! I had the Signature burger and it was perfectly cooked and very tasty. My wife had the chioped chicken salad and loved it, and my SIL had the berry gorgonzola salad and said it was the best salad she ever had. PLUS she is celiac and they take it very seriously, different part of the kitchen, different implements (tongs, spatula, etc), and a manager has to deliver allergy related dishes to prevent cross contamination from the servers. Top notch, excellent experience all the way around, and we can't wait to bring the rest of the crew back before we leave town after our vacation.

Great place for bowls, wraps, and smoothies. It’s a fast casual restaurant so you order and they bring it to you and it has all sorts of options to make your own. Plus for celiac you can have gluten-free options easily. A plus if you have car, it has a parking lot in the back!!

All the Northeast good diner stuff- huge variety of options, all day breakfast, diner coffee mugs. Super friendly staff and quick service, but not pushy to have you leave. Really great spot. Busy at Sat brunch time- but that’s a good sign. Felt as if it was not a chain. We would definitely come back for more! A member of our party chose it for the gluten fee options. They gave her a full separate menu! She was very pleased

It's probably not fair. I haven't been to CAPs in decades, but it's definitely not the same. I had fried shrimp and hush puppies last week. They were too greasy. It was as if the oil wasn't hot enough and soaked into the food, not hot enough to quickly fry it. My friends had jambalaya. While others may like it, if you are from Louisiana, you might want to skip this dish. For an appetizer, I ordered a smoked fish dip, which was good, but the menu said it was gluten-free. It came with something similar to toasted pita points. When we asked, we were told they were not gluten-free. They were out of gluten-free crackers and offered romaine lettuce. We needed gluten-free, not carb-free.

Recommend by a local downtown, Sarbez! was a pleasant surprise! Service was wonderful, bartenders were friendly and there were lots of options for beer and wines. The grilled cheese menu was extensive, they had Gluten Free options which was a huge plus. There are plenty of video games and things to do, to keep the whole group entertained all night. We liked this place so much we went 2x during our week of vacation. Highly recommend!

Amazing place and vibe. Everything we order was 10000/10 we got the avocado toast is a must, the chocolate muffin, the breakfast tacos and cappuccino. We went on a Sunday and they had live music which made our visit even more enjoyable. My only suggestion would be to have more gluten friendly options like maybe being able to have the avocado toast on gf bread. If you are in the St Augustine area you gotta check it out.

This place is a gem! This was my second time in. I came in late with my parents on a Thursday night. We are originally from NY and have been to Italy several times. While this is a small, unassuming place, the food was fantastic. My dad had the veal parm and said it was real veal! ( Not the rubbery stuff you get elsewhere ). I have celiac disease so it can be very difficult for me to eat out but our server, Calia was so wonderful; She informed us that she has worked back in the kitchen and was extremely helpful navigating the menu. I was able to eat antipasto and clams with GF pasta which was delicious! ( and more importantly.. I didn't get sick ). The portions were tremendous and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be back. ❤️

I appreciate they have gluten free options, but it would be even better if they offered a gf menu with the options listed out rather than relying on staff who don’t seem to confidently know. The gluten free wrap they offer isn’t bad, but the fresh catch sandwich was dry and lacking something which I believe was tartar sauce. Altogether, the food didn’t blow me away. The ambience is very nice.

Harry’s is in my top 3 favorite restaurants of St Augustine. There is a reason this New Orleans style restaurant has an outstanding reputation for its delicious cajun food. Everything on the menu looked amazing, and everyone in our party was impressed with their meal. The service was excellent, the ambiance was unique as the restaurant is in an old two story house, but theres not a great waiting area so if its raining, everyone is just standing around the host stand. Outside seating is preferred if the weather allows for it. They also had plenty of offerings for those with dietary restrictions including a separate gluten free menu. We got the gluten free Boudin balls which are cooked in oil instead of fried and they were delicious!

Vey very disappointed with the seriousness taken with food allergies. I am thankful we caught the carelessness before my children ate their food. My children have celiac disease & are gluten free because of this. I also explained this to our server. We ordered the shrimp & grits that is listed as a “gluten free option”. I explained that we need the item to be gluten free due to their gluten allergy. When our food was delivered the “gluten free” shrimp & grits was served with cornbread on the side of the bowl. I asked our server if the bread was gluten free & she replied that she was pretty sure it was…. Well it is not. Besides obvious cross contamination issues a gluten item should not be a side item on the same bowl as a gluten free entree. I spoke with the manager and she said she would talk with the kitchen staff and the employee would be reprimanded & that she had tried previously to have the cornbread removed. My son would have easily been hospitalized if we had not caught this. We will not be back & I am hoping the staff and kitchen staff will be more cautious & careful with allergies. This is beyond carelessness & unfortunate. I hope this will be taken seriously throughout the restaurant.

I am a tiny bit late to review this place and I wish I had a chance to thank the owner/general manager (?) Again for everything he helped out with! My fiance and I walked in for the first time living here to visit and were greeted amazingly by the waitresses/cashiers. They explained the order process (im sure we looked like lost puppies) and how we order up front and wait for our name to be called after ordering. I mentioned to the cashier I had celiac and she went and got the owner/manager for verification on all the food and what was safe for me to eat. He walked out and checked if it was just preference/intolerance or celiac (more serious) and I confirmed it was celiac. He said the staff takes amazing care with making sure there's no cross contamination and that the utensils and boards are cleaned in the back before a gluten free order and I have to say this was amazing! After we sat down he also came by to check on our order and even brought it to us and made sure everything was delicious. Which it was! I had the pork, sweet potato, and green beans and he even told me to use the sweet sauce which is gluten free. My fiance got the pork, onion rings and fries and bread pudding and he loved it! I always get so scared going out to eat and dont go out often because of my celiac and feel like a huge bother. This place did not make me feel that way at all! Amazing experience, great care, clean atmosphere, nice music playing, probably a good local place with regulars because we noticed a lot of people knew each other. I will most definitely be going back again and highly recommend this place for my fellows who deal with Celiac :) thank you Brisky's BBQ! 😊

Disappointed After Year of Good Experiences I’ve been a loyal customer of Simone’s for year, frequently bringing my grandchildren to enjoy their delicious gluten-free pizza, Calamari Fritti, and meatballs. My older grandkids especially love the Pollo E Campanelli Alla Pesto. Up until now, the food and service have always been excellent the wait staff attentive and the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was incredibly disappointing and will be our last. This time, the service was far below the standard we’ve come to expect. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed, juggling too many tables, and never once came to check on us while we were seated outside. The issue began when my 4-year-old granddaughter started screaming in distress that her mouth was burning after eating a meatball. I tasted it myself — the sauce was fine, but the meatball was extremely spicy due to an overwhelming amount of pepper. We’ve ordered this dish many times and never had this issue. My 9-year-old also couldn’t eat it. I politely asked the waiter not to charge us for the meatballs, as the kids couldn’t eat them, but we were then left waiting another 20 minutes for the check with no return visit from the server and no water or ice offered for the child who was clearly in distress. When I finally went inside with the kids to pay, the manager told me she had tasted the meatballs herself and claimed they were “not spicy.” She insisted that this is how they are always made, completely dismissing my concerns—even though we’ve ordered them many times before without any issue. She also informed me that I would be charged for the handful of chips that were on the plate with the meatballs, because the kids had eaten them while we Waited for 20 minutes about 10 chips in a small white bowel . I explained that we had been waiting an unreasonable amount of time and that I was not going to pay for the chips. After some back and forth, she finally relented and removed the charge. It’s disheartening to have such a long-standing positive relationship with a restaurant end this way. I rarely write negative reviews, but the way this situation was handled lacked both empathy and accountability. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
