One of my absolute favourite to go places for breakfast/lunch! I tried almost everything on the menu and quality of food is excellent! Everyone can find something, they have vegan and gluten free options too. But for me, Huevos Rancheros, Summer Cod, Cobb Salad and peach pie are top choices! New location in Arlington also has a big garage parking and easy access as well.
With multiple outdoor seating areas and a cozy vibe, this spot is perfect for relaxing and enjoying their unique pizza offerings.

Have previously loved their gluten free pizza, but ordered it for delivery tonight and got 2 very thin, small pizzas with some anemic little bits of sausage and toppings for $50.. Won't be ordering from here any more.
With a cozy bookstore vibe and a creative menu, this spot is a must-visit for a relaxed, flavorful dining experience that gets busy on weekends!

I recently stopped in with a member of the family with Celiac. First and most important, he didn’t end up in the ER due to food contamination. I had the blackened mahi mahi which was wonderful. The green beans were especially fresh and full of flavor. The bar selection was great and I appreciate the local brews. I look forward to visiting again. Thanks!
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for weekend brunches, complete with dog-friendly outdoor seating and a knack for accommodating diverse dietary needs.

I had dinner at True Food and it was excellent. Lots of menu variety for gluten free and vegan individuals. Our meatloaf (non gluten free) and burger were tasty, prepared exactly the way we requested. The service and ambience was outstanding. When you go, ask for Fernanda to be your waitress. She’s very customer oriented and kind. Emerson the Manager brought out our food and was very professional and helpful. True Food is a great place to eat!
Expect attentive service and a warm atmosphere that makes any celebration special, all while enjoying fresh and tasty offerings.

They have great options for gluten and dairy free people. And the espresso tastes amazing. Getting a well made latte is sadly rare but Kaldi’s always does a great job.
A vibrant spot with a cozy atmosphere, showcasing juicy burgers and delicious chips while offering great service and some unique drink options.

If you are ever in the Arlington Washington DC area please check out Liberty Tavern. They were amazing with my allergies(gluten and dairy) and took it so seriously. My burger came with the gf bun (no extra charge btw 🙌), but still had cheese on it. I alerted our server who promptly whisked it away and brought me back a separate (not-small and freaking delicious) side salad for me to eat while they had to remake the burger. Burger came out this time with just the bun and absolutely nothing else on it (and yet more ginormous side salad). I laughed and started eating it anyways and it was honestly the best tasting burger I've ever had, even plain (the gf bun was also perfectly toasted iykyk). Manager comes over and asks if they didn't put cheese on this time. I joke that they didn't take any chances and put nothing. He is very frustrated at this point and comes back with my lettuce/tomato/onion, and apologized again. Server comes back to make sure everything is good and tells me they're comping the burger because Manager was mortified that someone with an allergy might've had something that could've made them sick. As someone who has had less-than-stellar experiences with my allergies, I appreciated everything they did to make me feel like I wasn't a problem and to serve good food, which btw everyone we ate was amazing. Also I had zero reactions from the food.
We sat in the lower level tavern area since it was that weird happy hour period before they serve dinner, had some great drinks and I loved the atmosphere. Our server noticed my husband watching a Lakers game on his phone, and put the game on a nearby TV for us (they bonded over Luka and Jokic since our server was from Serbia as well). If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be going back.
Chill spot with a diverse menu featuring everything from burgers to fish, plus a solid drink selection and great vibes at reasonable prices.

A nice american restaurant with a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, fish, salads, flat breads, chicken wings, steak, etc. Good wine list and beers. They have a Gluten Sensitive menu. Good service and reasonable prices.
Mussel Bar is fantastic. The cocktails are delicious (I recommend the French 75 if you're a gin fan), the atmosphere is lively yet intimate (we got a booth away from the bar) and the seafood is the best I've had in the area. I'm also a big fan of Mussel Bar because of the incredible gluten free food options.
A cozy spot perfect for reading or chatting, serving reasonably priced coffee and unique beignets, though weekends can get crowded.

Excellent atmosphere, quick service, and tasty pastries and sandwiches. A bit pricey, but they have a variety of options and they always taste fresh and well-made. Definitely would recommend for a quick bite, coffee, or brunch with a friend. I personally hope they can add more gluten free options in the future as well.
Great for breakfast and dinner. I created my own omelette with spinach and Swiss. Everything was super fresh including the hash browns. They also have vegetarian and gluten free options. I had the gluten free sweet potato raviolis with quinoa. It was delightful.
Amazing service and a fantastic atmosphere make this spot a must-visit for an exceptional dining experience.

Matt was an amazing server! I have serious gluten/dairy allergies and he brought out the chef to provide safe options. The food is absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere is as well. Highly recommend this place!
A vibrant spot with a wine shop perk, delicious small plates echoing French café vibes, and a standout dessert that steals the show.

UPDATE:
What I write is my personal review of my experience at a public location and does not represent the company I work for. What type of person stalks the customer and brings up the person’s work place and lists my entire check on their response?? This has nothing to do with my job, but the behavior of the owner which made my experience at his restaurant a horrible experience.
I alone ordered those items and paid myself plus a good tip to the waitress regardless of my horrible experience.
To make matters worst, his version and response of what happened are completely untrue. He made up details in a very aggressive attempt to discredit and slander our character. What type of person does that!?
I was so excited to try this restaurant but left very disappointed due to the rudeness and aggressive interaction with of the owner/ manager. The food was mediocre, but the wine and the young staff were good, minus the fact that she didn’t know what gluten free meant though it’s an option on their menu. My friends made a reservation for girl’s night, we were happy to forgo our reservation and sat at an open seating since we had other friends join us. The owner approached us telling my friends and I that our friend’s acquaintance made him feel uncomfortable with no cause. He just made an assumption with no cause or reason. The acquaintance did not do anything to disturb the peace or cause any problems at a restaurant but the owner seemed to already have made up his mind about what type of person he was. He ordered a beer and hung out with our friends for a little bit. We told our friends of the owners statement and they decided to quickly finish their meals and peacefully leave altogether so the girls and I could enjoy our dinner and not be bothered by the owner. Then the owner approached us again yelling and embarrassing us “are you guys going to pay for his drink!?” We were surprised by his approach and statement because it was rude and inappropriate. Our friends had already paid for the drink on their tab. The owner didn’t check with his staff before approaching us, he just jumped to conclusions once again.
At the end of our meal I approached the owner to tell him that he made our experience very uncomfortable. This place is not cheap and I alone spent $120 so I expected better from the place and my experience, specially did not expect to be harassed by him. He didn’t apologize and I told him we would never return again.
I’m not complaining about the price of this place and happily paid, plus I gave the wait staff a good tip since it was not her fault how the owner behaved. He is beyond rude and I’m not the first to say it. You can see it in his very aggressive and inappropriate response. This is not the behavior of other restaurant owners in this area who know what being in hospitality means.
Expect a deliciously tender chicken dish packed with fresh veggies, perfect for a satisfying meal without the extra carbs.

I can’t have gluten right now so I requested a chicken sandwich sans bun. They basically give me a chicken salad! It was so good!! The chicken was moist, tender and flavorful; the Veggies were fresh!!

Ok this may be my favorite lunch spot in the DC area. First of all the vast vegetarian menu is MUCH appreciated. I also try to eat gluten free and there are also many opportunities to modify to meet dietary needs. The menu is halal too so I have brought many friends with me.
I really like the veggie plate. Amazing falafel and grape leaves. The hummus is chunky and delicious.
Falafel pita also an amazing veggie choice! The French fry combo is an amazing deal.
Overall great quality and customer service. I love that the owner is eager to meet dietary restrictions. And the employees are so considerate.
This is one of the better burger joints in the area as far as I am concerned. First, their beef is organic. I know some people think this is not important, but to me the taste is better than say, Five Guys.
Like the other burger joints they make your burger the way you want with a long list of toppings. But, if you are gluten-free, they also can do your burger in a lettuce wrap, which, while it is definitely not the same as a bun, allows you to eat there with the rest of the family.
The french fries are good and I really love their milkshakes, one of the only places that does milkshakes. What's a burger and fries without a milkshake?
I love this place! So, for the uninitiated: The Lost Dog has a pizza oven, and The Stray Cat has a griddle. So if you want a pizza or an open-faced deli sandwich, go to the Dog. If you want a burger, go to the Cat. They’re equally good, down-home greasy spoons that fit the neighborhood perfectly and have great atmosphere. The Cat has gluten free buns available. I WISH they were open for breakfast - walking my kids over for pancakes would be awesome!! - but still, it’s a great casual place for lunch and dinner.
Wonderful staff- fantastic atmosphere! Every space here is a super fun. From the downstairs bar, dining seating, upstairs area, patio, to the roof top bar, you’ll have a great time everywhere. Food is fabulous, try the cheese fritters for an appetizer and the chicken for an entre. BTW Tito’s vodka is gluten free and they have it by the water here !
I can't wait to go back. Great service (thank you Jimmy), delicious food, and yummy drinks. I'm a gluten free vegetarian and the restaurant was very accommodating to my dietary needs. My fiance friend eats everything and loved his meal (got the chicken quesadilla). Guacamole was good too! Vegan options look minimal, but I'm sure they would accommodate special requests (as they did for me).
A must-visit for its attentive service and accommodating options, perfect for anyone shopping nearby.

I stopped here for an impromptu lunch after some shopping. I’m always wary eating out because I have celiac disease and many restaurants are not conscientious of my allergy. I decided to order the green goddess salad (without the gluten containing ingredients) and they were able to accommodate me. They even double checked to see if the dressing had any gluten containing ingredients. The salad was great, and the service was very friendly! Highly recommended for those with and without dietary restrictions.
The customer service is not that great, their fries are terrible, and if your both vegan and gluten-free theirs nothing you can eat besides the fries and the wait for food is long but understandable because it’s always packed.
