The vibe is Urban. Pretty loud hip hop music. Tupac, Kenrick Lamar, and Outcast were some of the artists played. There are only about 8 bar stools for dinning in. We've been here about 3 times, and all 3 times were amazing. They have some new stuff on the menu, including "Ramen Broccoli" and "What the Bird Eats". We ordered "Tofu Brah" for the second time, "Garlic Chil Oil Noodles" (new menue item), and "Pho Spiced Cheesstake Eggroll" (also new). The Tofu Brah is my favorite. It has a peanut sauce that is not gluten-free, but the rest of it is. Most of the menu is actually gluten-free except the peanut sauce, egg rolls, and buns. The Tofu is hands down the best tofu I've ever had! I suggest saying no to onions if they aren't your thing, even if they are not on the menu, chances are they will be on the dish. My husband said the "Neighborhood Bird" is still his favorite. He gives the "Neighborhood Bird" a 10/10. Today, he gave the eggroll a 7/10 because the cheesstake and Pho seasoning didn't quite vibe. He couldn't really taste the Pho, but thought something was kind of off. He also liked the chili noodles. The chilli noodles also got a 7/10. But he thought the braised pork in that dish was great, and gave it a 9/10. He went on to say the seasoning in the gluten-free breading on the chicken, and Tofu really stood out as a favorite. We noticed the catfish was off the menu, and that was one of our favorites. Another fav that we didn't order this time is the "Tempura Broccoli," which is also gluten-free free. All in all, this place is up there and one of our favorite places to go when we ditch the kids. One time we brought our adult kid with us. He devoured the Neighborhood Bird yet swears he doesn't like dark meat. So even if you don't like dark meat, give this one a try. Prices may seem high, but most dishes are enough to feed 2 people. You could order an extra bun with the "Neighborhood Bird" and feed two for sure!

10/10 Experience getting my huge gluten free 🙌 fried chicken neighborhood bird bowl was phenomenal. They have Great taste in music and art. I liked the people working there. Took my food home and WOW the fried broccoli 🥦 I was 💥💢 They have 2 other locations- don't worry if you're downtown you can get it but it's not open on Sundays

Delicious ramen! Our party had the vegan mushroom ramen, spicy kimchi ramen (pictured), and the gluten free ramen (pictured) bowl. Everyone was happy! I added extra spice and an egg to my vegan bowl. The whole menu looked great and I can’t wait to go back and try more. The interior of the main restaurant was awesome and funky, very fun vibes. We were in the side room, which was a little less fun, but not a bad experience.

I have never gone to eat here without the owner Mona herself being super friendly and making sure we are well taken care of. This is a great business. The food is great too! I only wish that there was more gluten-free options.

We had an absolutely amazing time having dinner here! As somebody with a very strict gluten-free diet, this was the first Chinese restaurant I was able to comfortably eat at and enjoy every meal. Every dish could be made gluten-free with soy sauce on the side and gluten free rice noodles, and our waitress Stephany (a real MVP!) was really great with checking each dish and ingredient to make sure it was okay. Not only were the dishes okay to eat, they were absolutely delicious! I’m very happy I got to experience authentic Chinese food. NOTE: people with celiac or highly gluten sensitive folks should be careful, the kitchen is not certified GF so there may be cross contact.

The pho here is excellent! The best we've had in Baltimore. My son and I get the veggie pho with tofu and the broth is so rich and flavorful. So many places don't have good veggie broth and Pho Bac has perfected it. The veggie broth is gluten free, so it's safe for me and is the perfect comfort food. My husband always gets the rare and brisket pho. My daughter has ordered several things from the menu and all of it has been delicious. My only wish is that they had more gluten free options. I would love to try some of their other menu items, which look delicious. The portion sizes are very generous and we usually take home leftovers for another meal. The service is very friendly and attentive but it can be hard to ask questions about food allergens, depending on the staff working. We come here often and get their takeout as well. It's a family favorite that everyone loves.

The wait staff is phenomenal and the food was great. We will definitely go back and bring friends/family. For GLUTEN FREE, it was easy and good! Even though there aren’t a ton of GF options, they had a special that was delicious and GF, so that added a lot to our evening. We did a date night. And I would highly recommend getting the original Sake to help upgrade your experience. Thank you to all of the staff that made this an easy and fun dining experience. Highly recommend the scallop/shrimp special and the shrimp dumplings. Photos are of a second time we went. The spicy dish in a bowl was not gluten free. The other dish is a cumin lamb special that the made gluten free for me (it was delicious).

OMG. The sushi burrito is my new favorite! If you are gluten free (or other dietary requirements), the staff is willing to cater and swap ingredients. Hilo- if you read this- might just make it easier on everyone to switch over to Tamari (wheat free soy sauce) so your menu is almost entirely GF. Either way- I'm totally happy with the food and service.

This is a solid pick for sushi in South Baltimore. The staff is attentive and accommodating, especially Shay - she's just a top notch server that makes the place feel like home. Tell her your allergies and they can do nut free, and gluten free without fear of contamination. Long list of specialty rolls and a little light on the standards. Specifically missing things like a sashimi platter and ramen/udon. They more than make up for this with their salads though. Try the spicy tuna salad - it is an entire meal unto itself. Kid friendly and very clean. Bathrooms are especially nice but lacking a changing table. Street parking only but not much of a walk from the garage by cross street market. They open at 5pm, so stop in for a couple rolls and sake, then walk to Chatime, Taharka Brothers in cross street market or Bmore licks a little further north for your dessert. Shoyu is a little pricier than your other sushi takeout spots, but it is worth it.

The dumplings were the best I've had in years!! Wow. And they're gluten free which is incredible. Lemongrass grilled chicken on cauliflower rice was good, though the chicken was a little dry.

Tonkontsu was good but it could be better if they start adding more variations to the dish to customize it even more. For example, adding extra chicken on the top and/or an option to replace the wheat noodles by something like spinach or rice noodles to help customers with gluten related issues. Again, The food was great but there it can be improved further.

One of my FAVORITE places to go eat! Great chefs with huge personalities; GLUTEN FREE options available for Hibachi (made in the back)! Took a large party here recently and they all had a blast and loved the food as much as i do! Shoutout to our server Brody for holding it down and being awesome!

Honestly, I need to come here more often. I have been a few times, and it never disappoints. Best ramen in baltimore in my opinion. They have gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options which is fantastic. They also serve sake, soju and other Asian liquor which is a huge plus. Servers are friendly, pleasant and attentive.

Everyone here is so nice! My car broke down in front of the restaurant and they were fine with us waiting inside, out of the cold, until AAA could come out. We were there for a while and stayed for dinner. Food was amazing and they were great about gluten-free options. 10/10 would recommend!
