We ate brunch here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and unlike any Japanese food I've had before. There is amazing attention to detail in the taste. They are also incredibly Gluten-free friendly. Only one item on the brunch menu had wheat and the fryer was wheat free.
Lively and vibrant spot with beautiful decor, perfect for a fun celebration with a big menu that impresses with tasty fusion options.

Beautiful decorations and lively but comfortable seating, the music was awesome. We had the drunken noodles, pad Thai, a sushi dish, appetizers, as well
as spicy marg and a lovely drink called persephone. Reserving was easy, food wqs made very well (great options for spice level, vegan, gluten free etc.), we did not wait long to have great food and leftovers to enjoy. Came for a chill and wonderful celebrating occasion and had. an amazing time, I even had a separate problem after my reservation I had misplaced a belonging I found later on,
still the staff and owner were so kind and quick to help me look. long live the mad
monkfish, have been coming and ordering for years and always enjoy
We go here almost every week recently but are loyal customers since Early 2005.
They have limited gluten free options for celiac people, but if they have ingredients and you kinda know what you want? they can make.
I've seen people try to say this is chinese food, order terryaki chicken, and complain of cash only.
The waiting staff AND cooking staff are the nicest people you will ever meet, in your life, it shows in the food, heaven in a bowl. I get the croquet or chicken tampopo but octopus and curry are simply the tastiest dishes ever.
Yum.
If you wanna be told "good job" for eating your ownfood and being lined up like cattle, go to the udon soup next door.
A must-visit for fresh and delicious Japanese cuisine, with standout dishes that keep you coming back for more!

It was my best experience at Japanese restaurant! They have many gluten free options; salmon teriyaki is very tasty, and dragon maki is best of the best. All products are very fresh. In two days we were here 4 times!!! GOD BLESS FUJI!!!
Exceptional freshness and a diverse range of flavors make this spot a must-try, leaving you dreaming of your next visit.

I tried Cafe Sushi for the first time tonight and it completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered it through delivery to indulge in after a nine month pregnancy sushi drought. After eating hospital food for a while, I was especially looking forward to it, but often get disappointed when trying new restaurants because most struggle to accommodate my gluten allergy. All of the dishes I ordered were not only exceptionally fresh, delicious and well composed, but completely safe. They were carefully labeled with stickers and notes on the receipt to confirm careful prep. None of the dishes felt like they were missing key ingredients (it's clearly not one of those places that accommodates allergies by taking half of the ingredients out of the dish or telling you that you can "just have an salad"). There were special, seasonal and local ingredients in the dishes and a huge variety of flavors. The fish had that buttery texture you only get in the best places. I would say it was exactly the meal I was dreaming about and hoping to have post baby, but it was even better than that. Thank you so much Cafe Sushi!
Recently moved to the neighborhood and have gotten take-out from Kantipur Cafe a couple of times. Great experience so far. Many tasty vegan and gluten-free options. One of our new favorite spots.
I came here with a large work group, so my experience may not be relevant to everyone. I have a gluten allergy and I asked if anything will be gluten free. First, they had preselected dishes for our table on a menu that wasn't labeled. Second, the waiters did not know what did or didn't contain gluten. Third, I couldn't eat anything that came out to the table, though they kept promising they would bring something soon. Finally they brought out some crab dish that was covered in tempura flakes and vehemently tried to convince me it's gluten free. I kept telling them it wasn't. They left, then came back and took the tray away. At that point it was pretty clear I can't trust them and I left. Very disappointed to have had to leave my conference, and that they did not care about their guests enough to prepare some food I could eat for an hour. It could be that the organizers did not flag to them that they have people with allergies coming. Not sure.
