Great cakes & pastries, some gluten free options. We ordered two cakes for significant family birthdays, the cakes were well made, amazingly decorated & presented and most importantly delicious!. We gravitate back to this restaurant for several reasons over the many years they have been trading: (1) Spotlessly clean tablecloth and utensils, (2) staff very helpful with allergies and intolerances (ask! food is not automatically allergy free!), of which my family have several, (3) Great menu with good variety and tasty options - something for everyone in my group, (4) wait staff always polite, friendly and helpful, (5) fair price. Warning: book well in advance on popular days or times as they get busy! We now live well away from the Sutherland area. The fact we make a long trip back to this restaurant speaks volumes! Nice meals on a busy Sat night in Club East, Sutherland. A few gluten-free options which is good, could do with some more. Nice value cheap club membership option for small discounts. Handy to train station. Worth checking out to dine.

Excellent gluten free bread. I have been here a few times and each visit the food has been really good, especially love the gluten free bread which doesn't just fall apart, or taste like cake. The service is really good and there is plenty of outside seating and room for prams.

Went to go get lunch, and the man was so kind and patient in telling me all the gluten free options, as well as providing me gluten free soy sauce! We got the vegetarian bibimbap in gluten free, and the vegetarian sushi and they were delicious! Will definitely be coming back!

The BEST Indian restaurant in Sutherland by far and if not the Shire. GLUTEN FREE everything and it's really really good food, LOVE the BUTTER CHICKEN, CHICKEN CURRY and the deep fried MASHED POTATOES. Amazing service, really friendly staff and the food is awesomeness, Naan's are cooked fresh when ordering and vegetarian dishes available also. We went for Pasta & Gnocchi night. Delicious food. Best chat potatoes! So fluffy on the inside & crispy on the outside. And they catered to my gluten allergy, which is always appreciated. Great service. Only thing is the lighting is a bit bright for an evening meal. Will definitely return!

The Shire's Best Slice ! Great food, ambience and atmosphere. Classic and gourmet options, something for everyone even vegan and gluten free options that could pass a blind fold test. Passion for the food and appreciation for the customers are the benchmark of this little gem in the Shire. I finally understand why there are so many people sitting outside most nights of the week. Felt very welcome and almost like part of the family from the first visit. No question we will make a habit of pizza nights at Aqua Cotta.

Great fish, nice thick chips, and fantastic service. These guys go out of their way to clean down the grill for me every time I come to cater for my coeliac disease. They are always polite and friendly too.
