My son and I have to eat Gluten free so I was very excited to try this bakery and it did not disappoint. Even my husband and 3 other kids who can eat gluten thought it was fantastic. We stared with some sandwiches, a hot beef roll, a baguette, and vanilla slice. My son tucked into the chicken and salad sandwich so I too took a bite, absolutely delicious. The bread was soft on the inside and the crust was crusty. The filling was delicious and now thanks to you my son wants to eat a salad sandwich!! (🙏) my husband and I shared the hot beef roll, to die for, tried some baguette just as it was then had the vanilla slice. All absolutely delicious. Now normally this would have been enough to eat but I put on my greedy wig and wanted to try more. So I got the vegetable roll that was like a veggie sausage roll. Let me tell you I wanted to cry it was just that good. (I keep taking about it) Also tried beef and veggie pastie which was great too. Went back in again and got some apple pies, biscuits and a chicken and avocado roll. The owner laughed and said I was working my way through the display cabinet and she wasn’t wrong. Again it was all so good. Finally went back in again for another baguette and some sliced bread. On the Vline trip home my son devoured the rest of the first baguette. I can’t wait to come back to Bendigo but this time I’ll bring an esky to get more of the veggie rolls and vanilla slices and bread. And if I haven’t tried something I’ll be trying it. The best fish and chips we've had in a long time. Beautiful light crispy batter on the flake and crab sticks. Fantastic that they offer gluten free, having a kid with coeliac, take out is often tricky to find true gluten free options- they have a separate fryer etc. I will say (in the nicest way possible) just looking at the building, not knowing they offer gluten free I would probably not order from there but I was pleasantly surprised. So to the owner a little bit of TLC on the building would go a long way. Highly recommend

Great food, I always visit here at least once a week. However today when I was served I asked if there was gravy, the server laughed at me and said ‘ no we are gluten free’ I feel humiliated as I know there is gluten free gravy it was only a simple question I asked. I do not believe the laugh & smart remark was necessary.

Food was pretty good. Popped in for a quick bite before another event and was served pretty quickly even though it was relatively busy. Went back later for a burger, which was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but pretty good and they had a gluten free bun option, which was good. Chips were good.

My husband and I both enjoyed a lovely Eggs Hollandaise breakfast. They also cater for those who can't have gluten. I highly recommend this cafe.

What a stunning meal and night we had at Ms Batterhams. We were a party of nine, all staying next door at The Residence --- an absolutely wonderful place to escape for a few days. Our night at Ms Batterhams was a fabulous combination of great wine and food, and great company. We had a set piece menu that everyone agreed was excellent. We started with beetroot, hazenut and goats cheese tart, along with Wagyu rump tartare, ponzu, avruga witlof. And something slightly different for one our guests who was Coeliac. This was followed by Pork Carpaccio (absolutely stunning!!!), smoked rainbow trout with braised baby fennel in dill oil, and then roasted lamb saddle! We were seated upstairs in a fabulous open space that we shared with another large party, which we hardly noticed once our night got underway. Everyone at Ms Batterhams was friendly and helpful, from the time we booked right through to the wonderful staff who served us on the night. Would highly recommend a meal at Ms Batterhams and if you are coming from afar like our party, make a weekend of it and book The Residence next door. A wonderful old two-level historic home that sleeps 10 very comfortably. Find all the necessary detail on the Ms Batterhams website.

I wish I didn't live 2 hours away from this restaurant. I came for lunch with a family group of 6. Amongst us were a vegan, pescatarian, vegatarian, two omnivores and a coeliac. The amazing server took notes on all of this (it was on the booking form but she confirmed individually). We then ordered a set menu and were delighted when each item came out with clear instructions on who would eat what. Each person's dietary needs were considered in a way which was not just compliant, but also delicious. We left 2.5 hour later with full bellies and very content that we had such a special day out. And it was incredibly good value. We will be back on our next visit to Bendigo

Purchased a gluten free pie for $9.50 to be given one in a packet which is a commercial product. I buy the same pie for $6.50 at the MCG, so who is price gouging? Coffee was good as usual.

I love that they had several gluten & dairy free options to choose from. I had the rice porridge which was delicious and filling. The service was excellent with the staff happy to suggest options that suited my dietary needs. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

Went here for Sunday brunch after the local swap meet and we were greeted with friendly and very helpful staff. They had gluten free options for my girlfriend who is celiac. The atmosphere was beautiful & the food even better! I got the salt & pepper calamari with an Asian slaw which was absolutely delicious! My partner got eggs on toast and for gluten free is was great! Beautiful view of the lake and some cute doggos chilling out on the deck made for a great vibe. Would definitely recommend coming here for a meal!

We had lunch today 8/4/2021, service fantastic and friendly. We had three people and all opted for the specials on the lunch menu. One fish, one lamb roast and one lamb cutlets. I also had a sweet., the gluten free option. All servings where of good size and deliciousness on a plate cooked to perfection. Exceptional price $20.00 each this also included a drink of either beer, wine or soft drink. Sweet $12.00. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this great venue. Cheers table 23.

I wish I lived closer! The Tuna Tataki is amazing ❤️. They also offer great gluten-free and vegetarian options and are super accommodating when it comes to adjusting menu items for dietary needs. Definitely must visit for a good bowl of ramen.🍜

They have plenty of gluten free options and I love the Mexican punch. The only issue is their soft tacos - they taste like cardboard but the fillings are amazing.

What an absolutely charming restaurant. Food presented like fine dining, delightful staff. It was a miserable day and we had to sit outside. Staff made sure we were undercover and put on a heater. Highly recommend and will look forward to going back. Good food options including gluten free.

Vegan pizza and garlic bread 5 STARS!! We had 1 deep pan and 1 gluten free and they were both fantastic. DON'T recommend the chips though as they were pretty awful - cold, bland and dry (some soggy). Dominoes should stick to pizza :')

Had a lovely lunch at The Rifle Brigade Hotel yesterday. The food was really delicious with large portions for the the money. They have a few gluten free options which is good and the waitress asked if my gluten free meal was due to coeliac disease and which I really appreciated that they are considerate of that. I had the gluten free lemon pepper calamari which was flavourful and soft. My parents had the steak and the stuffed chicken which they both loved. Special thanks to our first waiter Fraser who was extremely accommodating to my mum. There was initially only tables available outside, we asked if it was possible to sit inside and initially was offered a bar table and bar chairs, due to my mum's injured leg it would have been hard for my to get up on a bar chair. Fraser did his best and found us a normal table. My mum was extremely appreciative. Wonderful experience and definitely would be back.

This is so appreciated 😊 The meal was just fabulous and the dessert makes me wish I lived closer so that I could be a frequent visitor! I went there for a friend’s birthday. We all ended up going a bit rogue and ordering outside the menu. They made a whole lot of special vegan and gluten free dishes to accomodate my dietary requirements. The cauliflower was to die for. I’ll be going back many times again for this dish alone.

4 of us dined in today i had the chicken breast which was stuffed served with chat pot and greens. I have been coeliac for 23 years and it was without a doubt the best gf meal i have ever eaten dining out. Service and food faultless cannot wait to return again

Amazing ice cream and sorbets. Plenty of flavours to choose from, and many are gluten-free. There are tables located outside where you can sit with your dogs. They also serve light meals.

The nachos are an absolute must-try—crispy, flavorful, and piled high with toppings. The prawn risotto is another standout, creamy and perfectly cooked with just the right balance of flavors. And let’s not forget the carbonara—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had, rich and decadent with the perfect amount of creamy sauce. On top of the delicious food, the service is excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. Everything is served fresh and hot, and you can tell they really take pride in their food. Highly recommend Jojo’s for a meal that’s both yummy and satisfying!

Starters of oysters and king fish were so fresh. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were of a good size with the flavours complementing the meat well. Dessert was amazing, the largest brulee I have ever had. Staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Plenty of gluten free options which made the dining experience more enjoyable as there were many options I could choose from. Would definitely return when back in Bendigo

I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten from this establishment, they've always met my expectations. A large variety of choice in terms of ingredients which is suitable for any combination and liking. My wife who has a gluten intolerance still likes coming here just for the salads. A healthy alternative to typical fast food which leaves one satisfied and refreshed.

A really healthy vibe , with amazing food - completely different to any place i know. The bowls of generous proportions with various options for gluten free , vegans to vegetarians to some excellent fresh juices. Service is excellent with all the staff really passionate about their food - this place also offers an array of raw ingredients for sale from all the corners of the globe. Its the hidden gem of bendigo for breads , fruit , veges to condiments - well worth a visit and locally owned to boot .
