Best steak sandwich I’ve ever had, hands down. Tender juicy steak so it doesn’t fall apart after the first bite!! (that’s my pet peeve with most steak sangas you get, but this place did it right) Gluten free bread was really nice as well. Being a coeliac I was a bit limited as I couldn’t have anything that had been fried. However all the tacos were GF so I ordered them. They came stuffed to the max with super tasty fillings but they were difficult to eat, they weren’t soft enough to hold and wrap nor could I cut or break them as they had gone tough and soggy from the filling. It kinda spoilt the meal for me as I ended up eating the filling with a fork and not enjoying the taco. Can’t fault the service and atmosphere though

Really yummy breakfast and cosy on a rainy day! The standout was the matcha, most pretty presentation I’ve seen. I ordered the chicken burger and got gluten free bread, it was fantastic. Chips were fresh and chicken was super flavourful. Have to order at the counter and pay, which there was a big line for.

Nice restaurant. The gluten free food was really nice according to my sister who has celiac disease. Three of us had the beef burger but thought the brioche bun was over toasted. One burger took ages to come out. We were told no steak sandwiches but then the table behind us ordered steak sandwiches after us which was odd. Chilli food was nice. Music was loud and hard to have conversations but my Dad liked it.

Went to this family owned fish and chip on weekend. Had the family pack. Fantastic value for $60. Friendly service clean shop value for money prices. Definitely be our regular now. And best thing was they offer gluten free options 10/10

Wow. Went here with a friend, it was one of the only places doing hot food and was actually suggested by a nearby restaurant. The burgers were fantastic - as were the onion rings we ordered along with them. The service was super quick and the staff friendly. One of us had a beef burger, and the other a chicken. Both were just great. Gluten free buns were one of the best I have tasted, could barely tell the difference. Absolutely will be stopping in again next time we are up that way.

As SBH regulars, we couldn't wait to try the new menu and we weren't disappointed!! Great range and some very fancy, tasty treats to choose from. Unfortunatly (like many other pubs in Freo), the chips still aren't gluten free, which is so baffling considering it's just meant to be deep fried potato. Anyway, doesn't stop us from continuing to go there (but us coeliacs would still like to have some chips on the side sometimes).

We went on a Saturday night and we just walked in and were lucky to come early and get a table. The food was the best we have had in years. They have a great selection for vegans and lots of gluten free options. We will definitely be back. We especially loved the beetroot carpaccio.

I've been on the lookout for anything advertising gluten free in the area as I have to be there on Monday evenings and it's too late to drive back home from Freo to eat. I had a look at the menu and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of dishes that were listed as gluten free. Coeliac husband and I haven't had Thai for a long time, so we've been there twice now and had lovely meals both times. The staff are lovely and we are looking forward to our next meals there. The duck jungle curry was really good, the pahd thai excellent, and wow, the tamarind fried tofu is so yummy!

Amazing coffee! Best coffee on south terrace actually.. The staff are friendly, helpful and so attentive. They love having a friendly chat to everyone. Great food options. Delicious bagels, breakfast wraps, croissants, danish, empanadas and the famous Portuguese tart. There is a selection of gluten free options available now too. Thanks Kerfuffle team. You’re all legends 🙏🏽
