They do have a variety of gluten-free pastries and sweets. The soups are hit or miss. We had the loaded baked potato and it was much spicier than either of us. Expected. Service is fast and very kind. Atmosphere can be a little loud. Just be choosy about where you want to sit if you're eating inside.

Worst bread I've ever had, gluten free doesn't mean nasty. No mayo added, no extra lettuce or tomato as requested. Styrofoam would taste better.

My wife ordered a gluten free cake for our anniversary. She's been gluten free for a while, so I've gotten experienced with gluten free cakes. Usually gluten free cakes are rubbery, dry, or bland. The gluten free cake we got from Alaska Cake Studio was, without a doubt, the best gluten free cake I've ever tasted. It's not even close. It was moist and delicious. It was not only indistinguishable from normal cake, it was better than normal cake. Quite frankly, if this is what her gluten free cakes taste like then her normal cakes must be fantastic. If you want amazing cake, this is the place. If you want gluten free cake, this is definitely the place to go. Worth the price.

The store itself is pretty clean and the checkers are friendly... minus two stars because they're so much more expensive than other grocery stores in the area! Good place to go if you're looking for gluten free items. Other than that, I mostly stick to Fred Meyer's.

There's so much to love about this place! The quiet, relaxed atmosphere is wonderful for a quiet place to work, study, or read.. or enjoy with a friend. The pastries are very tasty, and there's always gluten-free options! The drinks are good, matcha oatmilk latte is my favorite. I appreciate that mushroom powders can be added to drinks for health benefits (Chaga, Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi). There is a lot of art for sale up on the walls, as well as prints available.

Asking if something was celiac safe because my fiancé has celiac disease is always hard, but getting made fun of and having them put things in our food was not ok. The drip coffee was good, the employees were rude, almost entertaining. Everything we ordered was purposely made wrong. My order was ok because I poured my own coffee except for my cinnamon roll. I dont know if the cinnamon roll was supposed to have globs of butter instead of frosting, but that seemed odd.

Stopped in for a mixture of pastries on my way to work for something different. What nice people! Enjoyed the pastries so much, went great with morning coffee, and thinking my next birthday cake will have to come from here. So good! And they do gluten free chocolate raspberry cakes! I'm so going back!

Small designated gluten free section, BUT in a great price range! An affordable place to find just about anything on a budget. I love these gluten free noodle dinners. The only place I can find them here in Anchorage for a great price. This has helped so much with easy delicious meals for gluten sensitive lifestyles :)

GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS are delicious!! What a gem this place is, the owner came in with a smile and a Hello to all the locals, and came over to me an out of town visitor to see if needed anything. The staff all so friendly, something I found rare in the state actually. This Carrs is very clean and modern looking which isn't surprising as it is one of the most recently remodeled locations around town. The employees here are generally easy to find and knowledgeable as well as friendly and they also have a good selection of items including gluten free and vegan options as well as fresh made sushi. Overall an excellent place to get your grocery shopping done. The only downside to the location is that due to the area, you may get asked for a cigarette or change in the parking lot. But even though it can be an inconvenience, most of the people asking are pretty harmless and will leave you along after saying 'no'.
