The couple who run this place are very friendly. I love the variety of goodies they have for us gluten-free folks. This is not a.dedicated.bakery, but my celiac did not kick in upon sugar--fluff consumption.
I called ahead and requested some things held as we don't live far, as the bird flies, but traffic males it a ninety, plus minute drive.
We requested 2 scones, 2 chocolate crossiants, a huge cinnamon roll, 2 bearclaws, and a piece of German chocolate cake
We agreed the crossiants were too sweet for us, but they are on par with the majority of what.ppl like for sweetness...think cupcake level. The cake had very sweet frosting but was a tad.dry. The cinnamon roll was also on the dry side, but that.may be.personal taste.
The bearclaws were phenomenal!! We agree the drive was worth it for those alone. They were perfectly flaky, with a perfect subtle sweet filling. The blueberry scones were also flaky, moist, and delicious.
The prices are also very affordable and reasonable. They have a rewards program as well, and my purchase of just over forty means I get a free goodie on my next trip.
If you live within a two hour drive and eat gluten-free, make the drive! Just be aware they close at noon on Wed and are only open Wed through Sunday, closing early afternoon the last three days, as most bakeries do.
There is free, two-hour parking right in front, along the street.
Chill vibes, cozy seating, cute gifts, and artistic decor make for a perfect spot to relax with a drink or a book, despite a few pesky flies.

Lots of gluten free options which I appreciated for my friend! I loved the ham sandwich I had and the delicious lavender latte and the baristas are chill and welcoming! I enjoyed all the paintings and multiple places to sit. It was nice to see all the cutesy things for sale like Hershey bar and gummy bear earrings. The only issue I had was the amount of flies that were constantly in my face while I was trying to eat, which made it difficult to get completely comfortable, but otherwise the environment was inviting.
I requested gluten free red velvet cupcakes and they were delicious! I was not able to find these anywhere so i was very appreciative that she could make these for me.
J’s used to be our go-to breakfast spot, but I think it’s time for us to find something different. The last several times I haven’t received what I’ve ordered and the server was very inattentive. I have to eat gluten free, so potatoes are a staple of my breakfasts. I love the breakfast reds, but they have been absolutely undercooked the past couple times (when I got what I ordered). Hard crunchy potatoes. I ordered them Monday morning and I got hash browns instead. I tried to eat them, but they were mush, essentially mashed potatoes. You have to practically beg to get a coffee refill.
