When I found out this bakery was close to where I was staying I was incredibly excited! As a gluten and dairy free gal its so hard to find baked goods that are both. When I first read the reviews for A&J I wasn’t sure if it would be a flop or not. I called ahead to see what they had for options for a gf & and df girl and I was soo excited! The filling in the eclair was top notch and the pastry was the perfect texture! Places like these make me a feel a little less isolated for the food world. thank you.

Extremely good vegan and gluten free desserts. The Samoa oatbar is a 10/10 and if it ever disappears I'll likely not survive without it. Its so good, some weeks I get it multiples times! Very friendly customer service too.

Wow! The staff at this bakery is incredibly friendly and polite. The store itself is spotless and well-maintained. I tried the Cupcake of the Day, which was a Pineapple Dolewhip flavor, and it was absolutely delicious. It tasted like summer in a cupcake! They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, including gluten-free options. I will definitely be returning to try more of their cupcakes.

Saturday we called with a last minute request for a gluten free chocolate torte and gluten free cannoli for Sunday. We also got gluten free lemon bars. Everything was ready by noon, absolutely delicious, and reasonably priced. I never leave reviews but was so impressed in every way by Carolinas!

Went to The Beach Rose Cafe for a meeting, and employees Paula and Brooke were amazing. They have great customer service and made you feel at home. They prepared the food in a timely manner and it was like eating home! ( GREAT TASTE AND PORTION). They give healthy options for food such Gluten Free and clean protein shakes. My all time favorite. I am a regular ! I have a sweet tooth for sure. Love that they have gluten free cake pops & cupcake assortment. Certain macaroons are GF as well! Cake pops, cookies, macaroons & ofc cupcakes are all amazing! Champaign, silver dollar & blueberry lemonade are my top fav cupcakes, but they’re all good. Lavender lattes, espresso martini & Oreo martini are also delicious!! The girls are always welcoming & informative! The tea room & Paris sitting rooms are just too cute & so cozy. I promise you won’t regret it !

RUDE & UNAWARE! *CELIACS: Please take caution at this establishment!* This place advertises as gluten free but is only partially gluten free and the staff, in our experience, does NOT understand proper allergy-safe protocol. My wife (who has Celiac) and I went in for GF pastries. We ordered the GF zeppoles and then I pointed at the “Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies” right in the front of the case and ordered a chocolate chip cookie for my wife. The person serving us grabbed a chocolate chip cookie (with gluten, not gluten-free) from the back corner of the display area where there was a little sign that read “Chocolate Chip Cookies” totally obstructed from view and put it in the box with the zeppoles. My wife very politely asked if the everything was gluten free to double check and the person very coldly said “oh, uh, no just the zeppoles… did you want gluten free?”. Thank god my wife asked because we were under the impression going in that everything was gluten free based on their involvement with the gluten free fest last March and this upcoming weekend, as well as their general advertising. The person then said “is it a problem that the cookie touched the zeppoles?” My wife once again very politely said “I’m sorry yes I have celiac disease so I can’t have the zeppoles if it touched.” The other person behind the counter took the box and rudely said “well I guess we’ll save this for someone who can eat it.” As a bakery that “celebrates” themselves for understanding allergy protocols and offering allergen friendly options, they sure don’t seem to show it.

I don't often write reviews but this cafe is fantastic. Such an aesthetic and gorgeous place, the food is EXCELLENT and so happy they had gluten-free breads/wraps. They made sure our orders were perfect and I would like to go back there every day!

My partner who has celiac disease once spoke with the owner and either their partner or a family member also has celiacs. According to my partner the ham and Asiago scone is amazing, as are the muffins and Portuguese rolls for breakfast sandwiches are chefs kiss. We have also ordered gluten free cakes from them for holidays and people who don’t eat GF said they were amazing and they couldn’t tell they were GF.

These jerks charge 12$ extra now for the raspberry sauce for the gluten free chocolate cake. That sauce used to come WITH the cake. They also used to include whipped cream but not anymore! This business is SO GREEDY I cannot believe it. Awful I’m never coming back. I begged the worker to give me a tiny bit of the sauce and she caved fortunately, but that’s so bad of them to not include everything anymore.

What a waste of time! This location doesn’t have items that the Putnam Pike location has, such as dairy-free pesto sauce, corn-free/gluten-free cereal. So pissed.

First time visiting this bakery, and I was curious as to the gluten-free goods. I also was trying their iced coffee due to participating in the RI food fights iced coffee summer celebration. The coffee was very good, smooth, and I ordered black with no sugar or flavors added. I ordered a scone that was tasty and fresh and gluten-free. Living in Manville, the location is convenient. I will definitely be back again to try some other goodies!

Outstanding cakes, cupcakes and goodies. Marti is a sweetheart and bends over backwards to make you happy. I get all our birthday cakes through this bakery. It's the only one I can find delicious gluten free cakes. I mean, just beyond tasty. Usually after we serve the cake and I'm alone putting things away, I guiltlessly eat more when no one is looking. Plus, the added plus, is they are decorated so professionally and perfectly, with such attention to detail. There have been times I ordered the cake over the phone and just with a conversation over the phone, Marti delivers a beautifully made cake each time. I very happy with the way my sons 2nd birthday cake turned out. I gave Jessica a few photos of cakes I liked and told her to use them as inspiration but so what she wanted. Adorable French pastry and coffee shop! They get their pastries from a local French bakery. I got the gluten free banana nut bread and it was amazing! Coffee and service was great, and my favorite part was the French music playing in the shop. Would definitely recommend.

I seldom comment on places like Walmart but the one in Coventry is way way above other similar type stores. It is clean, well stocked, organized, and the staff were well trained, courteous, and nice to customers. For example the gluten free items were grouped together and they were quality items.
